Magical relaxing place! All the way up in the forest, no bugs because the Echobas are very secure with screens and netting around the beds. Hot water!! Amazing service very friendly and helped us figure out everything! Could swing in hammocks there forever! Highly recommend any of the hammock waterfall places in town. They will tell you where and how to get there and arrange transport. They did our laundry and breakfast included was delicious and you got to walk thru the forest to get to their restaurant. We loved this place!

A wonderful boutique place, with only 10 rooms and an amazing attention to detail. Every little thing (decor, service, food, menagerie, etc) is done with love & intelligence. A rare & enjoyable combination Fabulous. Book room 5 or 10 and you won't even have any (too thin ...) parting walls to worry about

We went here for lunch recently on our way up to El Dorado. It's a really lovely spot on the edge of Minca with a beautiful terrace where we ate - although my husband couldn't sit still, due to the profuseness of the hummingbirds which he photographed many times. Staff were very accommodating - we had pre-ordered due to time limitation and our pasta lunch was served very quickly.

Delicious food (try the vegetable spaghetti !!), comfortable and clean rooms and very friendly staff. Make sure to walk up to the lookout point, from where you can see Santa Marta way way down below. Birding is good - they have feeders and from the balcony you can watch the birds. Wifi only in the lobby.

El hotel es bueno, habitaciones cómodas y con aire acondicionado, la atención es excelente y la comida del restaurante tiene buen sabor. Cuenta con internet y una vista agradable en el último piso. Definitivamente volvería a utilizar este hotel.

What a stunning place to stay. In the trees next to the river and a short walk to the swimming hole. You can also bath in the river by the hotel. The road is blocked to cars or large vehicles due to prosper walking to the swimming hole. but it is possible to get a motorcycle to drop you here from Minca

Cuando llegamos a este lugar se encontraba totalmente sucio, las fotos son expectativa realidad, los encargados son menores de edad y no saben lo que hacen, la cocina sucia, no cambian las cobijas, en fin no pierdan su dinero en este lugar

We honestly thought we hated Minca until we checked into this hotel and our entire perspective changed. The hotel is way up the mountain. We could hear howler monkeys, we saw toucans on three different occasions, and loved listening to the birdsong every day. We had our own private cabin with a balcony with wonderful views. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was modern. The grounds are lovely and impeccably maintained. The meals were filling and varied. Staff were wonderful. We can't recommend this place enough.

HOSTAL Y GLAMPING; CONFORT EN MEDIO DE LA NATURALEZA. una experiencia única, al lado del rio Minca y en las estribaciones de la sierra nevada
The location is lovely and the deluxe rooms very comfortable. The pool is a reasonable side and a lovely location next to the river. There are a ton of insects as to be expected, especially at night. The reception staff were lovely! Bar staff friendly too but rather disinterested. Got My food wrong three times in a row, to the point I just didn’t eat it. Overall though, a nice place in minca around 15 minutes from the centre.

Mundo Nuevo is an organic farm & hostel in which the primary objective is to achieve and advocate sustainability in terms of food, water, economics and energy consumption. We work to protect the unique territory of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta from further deforestation and to preserve - and where needed recuperate - its natural ecosystems. We aim to provide an alternative form of living for our residents and guests by being a human settlement that provides people with reliable work and clients with tourism services whilst having an overall positive impact on the ecosystem. Our guests are invited to sleep in either private or shared rooms, a wood cabin, or traditional indigenous Wiwa rooms. Your day can be spent hiking the trails through the Sierra Nevada where we will guide you through the farm and its facilities, followed by an introduction to our home gardens and “Awindua,” an indigenous village build on the bordering ridge. During our tours, we will educate you on the fundamentals of permaculture, sustainability principles, and provide information on the Sierra Nevada and its indigenous cultures. Guests are also welcome to take part in the cultivation of our gardens, in addition to enjoying homegrown vegetarian meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Furthermore, Mundo Nuevo facilitates many educational retreats designed to help us understand how we can continue to move toward a more sustainable future. We invite you to visit us and be part of our vision; perhaps lending a hand in achieving our dreams, if you so desire. Our staff here at Mundo Nuevo awaits you, and is eager to share more of our story and philosophy with you.
Astonishing place with amazing food in the middle of nature and without any music!!! Loved it. Only complain is about some very badly educate European teenages shouting in the dorm at night. I guess the team in charge of the place have kicked them out the day I left.
