We're a family run seafood and steak restaurant in operation since 1988. We pride ourselves in sourcing the best local seafood and steaks and serve vegetables fresh from the garden. Situated on the Wild Atlantic Way against the backdrop of Liscannor Bay, the restaurant combines stunning views with a homely atmosphere and an old-style, Irish cottage charm.
Booked supper here based on TA reviews. Quaint and busy. We ordered the chef's menu- they decide what is served-seafood/meat/veg. Our group split the options - we were able to get 2 options for each type- all pretty good. A la carte also available.

Haw a few beers here over a weekend and it's a busy spot. Lots of hen parties (and everything that goes with it!) and a staff keeping up with thirsty customers. Great service from Kenny and Aine looking after us with a warm welcome, friendly chats and fast with the pints. This is a popular music venue with live acts and very weekend. Expect a busy spot and get in early if you want a seat.

VL Restaurant is a fine dining restaurant at Vaughan Lodge Hotel. The Restaurant opens normally on Tuesday evening to Saturday Evening. Dinner only is served with a set menu and A La Carte selection. The emphasis is on classic french cuisine with a modern style and presentation. There are seafood and meat dishes and vegetarian options also. Booking is essential as numbers are limited each evening. Closed November to April
As regular visitors to Lahinch, my wife & I have eaten in most of the local restaurants.
We had actually tried to book a table in a different resturant (a few days in advance), but they let us down - so we ended up at VL restaurant instead.
Best 'mistake' ever :)
The restuarant is part of Vaughan Lodge hotel, & it is very comfortable & well decorated - not stuffy, but not too casual either. The staff were very friendly & the usual Clare humour was available on tap! There were set menus available for both 2 & 3 courses, as well as an extensive a la carte option. The wine list was impressive & we went for a bottle of Valpolicella which was excellent.
My wife started witht he Scallops & I had Langoustine - both amazing. For mains we had the lamb & the fillet of beef, & the meat was literally melt-in-the-mouth good!
In between courses various 'amuse bouche' delights were served - varying from a beetroot meringue stuffed with local goats cheese, to a squid ink cracker...incredible.
We had intended to include desserts, but we just weren't able!
I would definitely recommend VL resturant to anyone looking for superb food in a relaxed environment, & we will be back for sure.

We visited on a Saturday evening for dinner. We had a variety of starters from soup to fish cakes and Brie - all excellent. For mains we had fish and steak - favorite was the hake with a topping of crabmeat. Best of local food.

Vaughns anchor inn - pleasant local pub with great lunch food. Both the crab and shrimp salad sandwiches were really good. Basically fresh seafood with no wasted filling or sauces. Weather was perfect to eat at the outside tables but the inside was cozy and appealing.

Cosy cafe , Healthy food , Extensive vegetarian menu , Tasty Breakfast and Evening menu.
Pretentious, is the word that comes to mind when describing this café.
Every thing average, food, service price, and all a little undercooked for me, well that’s subjective. I was surprised at the unfriendly nature of some staff even bordering on aggressive. What a pity this Café is not flying the flag for the industry in such a prime tourist location.

Randaddy's is owned and operated by Randy Lewis. A native of Canada, Randy has cooked his way around the world, immersing himself in the culture and culinary customs of each country he has visited. So, how the heck did he end up in Lahinch? AboutRandaddysRandyExploringWell you see, Randy loves to travel but he's no ordinary tourist! He sees countries and cultures as great sources of ingredients, ideas and inspiration. Randy has incorporated what he absorbs from his travels into his cooking and creates flavoursome food made from the freshest, seasonal ingredients. It's Randy's ability to combine the exotic with the everyday to create culinary delights that makes dining in Randaddy's such an awesome eating experience. Randy is an explorer who loves to collect and compile ingredients and ideas from the countries he visits. He collates all this information in his recipe scrapbook so he can use what he has learned in Randaddy's. Centuries ago, explorers such as Magellan, Marco Polo and Columbus took samples of what they found for later study. They were always up for the next adventure - so is Randy. He is an unashamed adventurer, always up for the next voyage and he wants nothing more than to share his discoveries with you, to give you 'a real taste of adventure'...
We live in Lahinch and Randaddy’s is our go to restaurant. Between the 5 of us we are always happy (and I’m vegan so am particularly fussy!). I appreciate that everything is made for scratch - sauces, breads, dressings etc so not only is the quality high but the flavour. Over the years the menu has changed and grown and we have never been bored. Excited to see what’s coming next. We’ve had birthday parties there, I’ve had a girls night out. Always a reliable winner
