Loved this quaint place! Had the veggie omelet, another diner had the Cheese steak omelet, another had pancakes. All were delicious. Had the bacon jalapeno burger and that was so so good! French onion soup is top notch. So many desserts to choose from. You will not walk away hungry! Highly recommend! Great smoothies, too!

This place can be dangerous to your health. They do not honor requests concerning food sensitivities/allergies. Be forewarned!
We arrived on a Sat. night with a reservation well in advance for two people. We were placed next to a boisterous party of ten. The noise was deafening. I heard a man seated nearby shout, "next time let's just have dinner at home!" Indeed.
I made a very clear request to our waitress that I needed to avoid any onions or garlic. I told her it wouldn't kill me, but it would make life miserable. She said she communicated that to the chef. We asked for a glass of wine, and we were told they were very busy with the party of ten. Thirty five minutes later, I literally chased down a waiter and begged them to give us our glasses of wine. One hour and fifteen minutes later I received my meal---completely covered in garlic sauce. Not just the fish, but all the vegetables, too. The waitress said, someone other than the chef must have prepared my meal. Who would that be??? She offered to start over, but at this point, I had had enough of Elizabeth's. I was too darn hungry to wait for them to start over.
It was very disappointing, because we had had a really nice lunch there a year ago, so we made a special effort to get a reservation there after a long day of driving. It was a horrible experience. But...don't worry, they still charged us full freight on a toxic meal.

Bonanza Steakhouse

We ate here in 2014 while staying at the Hotel next door. The concept was the same but buffet selections were changed up a bit. Seems normal to us as many diners are "regulars" so variety is good ! Again the service was good, the variety was good, the food stations continually replenished and staff friendly and efficient and also sweeping floors under tables and booths when patrons left and wiping tables properly making for a clean environment. Although the odd item might not appeal to some, I personally don't think there should be much complaining when getting a variety of meat, potatoes, salads, vegetables and desserts for a very reasonable price.

Went to lunch here with a group of friends. The food was very well prepared, was as described on the menu, and was attractively presented. The service was prompt, polite, and professional. Despite the number of us in attendance, our server had no difficulty remembering what each of us ordered and what side dishes and desserts were included with our varied orders. Prices might be a bit more than what one would ordinarily pay for a workday lunch, but worth every penny, considering the quality of the food, the adequacy of portions provided, as well as the dedicated attention of the staff and server. The restaurant is situated in a building constructed as a residence; so, its dining areas are very comfortable and homelike -- not the usual crowded and noisy commercial / institutional .setting -- and we were not rushed to finish our lunches and leave to make room for others. I stop short of giving the place an Excellent rating, only because I prefer to reserve that higher rating for restaurants situated in more rural settings with scenic views. This restaurant, located on a main drag just outside of city limits, lacks that one attribute. Otherwise, it is a very nice place to enjoy excellent food and to focus on socializing with your dining companions on special occasions.

The exterior looks like a dive bar but they have completely redone the inside. They have a small bar area and then a large dining room which is done up very nicely.

Had the Philly cheesesteak for $9 and my wife had the chef salad for $9.50. Both items were very good. They have a good selection on their menu.

We will be back.

Country Cupboard

A warm, inviting, family atmosphere awaits you - a place where you can relax, enjoy a great meal, browse through our Gift Shops, and take home delicious, fresh-baked goodies from our in-house bakery.

Eating at chain restaurants has never been my preference. Ever! But this independently owned eatery? What a mistake it was to stop here. I'm sure that commercial food distribution service companies have different grades of food that restaurants may purchase. The food served at Country Cupboard tasted and looked as though it was the least expensive food available. And those who prepare the food were certainly not chefs by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, there was no imagination in the preparation of the dishes. It seemed as though that if you had experience flipping burgers at Mickey D's or had taken home-ec 101 in high school, then you were qualified to work in the kitchen at this place. Nearby, on the main highway, there are nationally recognized chain restaurants and that is where you should eat, rather than Country Cupboard, when in Lewisburg.

Sublicious

Reviewed By nmunyat - Milton, Pennsylvania

Pizza shops and sub shops try to make good sandwiches, and tastes in this area tend to prefer bland flavors, so I suppose that could excuse most other hoagies/subs/sandwiches in the area. Sublicious stands alone. They use actually GOOD hoagie rolls, authentic meats and cheeses (they don't call it an italian hoagie because there's Hatfield salami on it - they actually put italian meats and cheeses on theirs!), and the folks who run the place are the best. I have not had a sandwich from there that I haven't LOVED.

It's a little pricey, but quality isn't cheap. A $6 full sized hoagie in this area is going to get you something that you could make at home for 1/4 of that price. The guys at Sublicious do their homework and get the right ingredients, which isn't cheap. You're getting your money's worth, even if you're spending a little more of it.

Good Wil's Restaurant & Bakery

Reviewed By funky-rat - Milton, Pennsylvania

We've been going to Good Wil's off and on since they first opened in the 80's. When we lived in Northumberland (before they closed and moved to the mall), we frequented them regularly. Since we've moved and are closer to the Montandon location, we don't visit as often.

One frequent complaint no matter the location is the lack of side dish choices. If you don't like Harvard Beets, Baked Beans or Baked Limas (I like them, but not how GW prepares them), Applesauce, Cole Slaw, Pickled Cabbage, or Baked Apples, you are out of luck. That selection NEVER changes - ever. No macaroni or potato salad. No selection of veggies. Nothing. Just the above list. I rarely order dinners because I can't pick 2 of those sides. I don't even like one of them. Sometimes, the waitress allows me to count French fries and a cup of soup.

Portions are generous and food is generally good. They make a lot of "old style" dishes - ham and dandelion, schniz and knepp, chicken and waffles, pot pie (and for the person complaining it was canned chicken and cut-up lasagna noodles, you are wrong - it's roasted chicken/ham/or beef with dumplings - that's how we do pot pie here - anything else is a meat pie - I've had their pot pie and it's very good, especially the ham pot pie), and tend to draw an older crowd, but I appreciate that they keep the older dishes alive. Their soups are good. Keep in mind the older crowd, however, on days when they have things like pot pie - be prepared for them to possibly sell out before you get there - we arrive at 6pm, and many times, things are gone off the specials board.

Staff is hit or miss. Many are decent. Some are not. It's mostly locals, so be prepared for some staff to spend more time with some tables than others - especially if you're not recognized as a regular. A prior review mentioned someone they called "The Grinch". That's a good description. She is not friendly, and once scolded me because she felt I took too long to pick-up a to-go order. There is also a short-haired waitress with a distinctive voice who I try very hard to not get. She spends a lot of time with certain tables if they're her regulars, and everyone else gets ignored. She was flat-out rude to my husband the other night. A customer was chatting with the server after checking out at a register, and the short-haired waitress opened up another register, just standing there. When he attempted to check-out with her, she got rather rude and told him that he had to check out with whoever served him. That's a first for us - we've always just paid whoever was at the main register (and that's where short-haired waitress was - the people chatting were at a secondary register) - often the main register is staffed by "The Grinch". Embarrassed, he said "Is this something new? I paid at the main register last week for lunch..." and she interrupted him and rather loudly said yes, it was policy, but only after 4pm or some such thing. I was upset, and I told him I was going to sit in the car before I said something I'd regret. He checked out at the secondary register after the conversation taking place there finished. I watched from my car - short-haired waitress never rang anyone out. She just stood there, then left. I still don't understand the purpose of that. He did tell her there was no need to be so blunt.

Desserts are homemade, and good. I love their cakes, and their pies are good. There are goodies to take-out too (sticky buns, cookies, etc) that are equally good. The only thing I give a thumbs-down to is the ice cream. I've had it twice, and it tastes to me like it's thawed and re-frozen - grainy almost.

We would visit more frequently if there was a better selection of side dishes (no need to carry 20 on any given day - just rotate them in and out - by the week, even, so I'd know if there were good sides that week or not), the service would be a bit friendlier/more efficient (other comments about having to flag people down, or about their tables being scattered everywhere are accurate), and the visits were more consistent.

Lastly, if you go and you get a good server or good service, tip halfway decently. Often, we see people leaving them $.50 or $1 as a tip. It's not the 60's, and they need more than that (I saw a demanding table who asked for lots of special requests leave $2 the other night). Prices are decent enough that a tip won't break the bank. I would hope the owners know their clientele are generally bad tippers and would pay better than server pay, but I can't be sure, so I tip well if the service warrants it.
