It had 99,576 inhabitants in September 2016, which makes it the 13th most populated city in Sweden. Det var mitt första besök och min spontana reaktion var att lokalen är väldigt inbjudande och mysig. Dämpad belysning, trivsam musik och det fanns en häftig vägg där Magasinet var skrivet i graffiti. Jag och mina vänner beställde in lite olika rätter. Maten är i lite större tapas-varianter och det fanns flera veg/veganska alternativ. Superroligt! Servitrisen som servade oss under kvällen lämnade oss aldrig undrandes. Vi fick info om maten, alkoholen och hon tog verkligen hand om oss. Mina favoriter var bakisfajitan, som innehöll nattbakad högrev, vegan warrior taco (en taco med sirachamarinerad oumph) grillad halloumi och chevré. Den absoluta favoriten var nog chevrén. Jag älskar verkligen ost och har ätit chevré ett flertal gånger ute. Den här var underbar! Det var chevré med karameliserade valnötter och honungsglaserade rödbetor på ett surdegslevain. Ibland kan jag tycka att honungen ovanpå chevrén blir för söt men den här var alldeles perfekt i och med att det inte blev för mycket. Min vän tog en laxtartar som jag smakade av och den var också supergod! Vegan warrior tacon var verkligen HET, god men het! Summering: Hit kommer vi verkligen att gå igen!

Surprisingly nice!We went to Gävle for a couple of days of holiday. Arrived late Sunday evening and almost everything was closed.. This gem however was opened.. At first glance it looked a bit shady but since it was the only place open we popped in for a couple drinks. The service was friendly and the prices humane. We ended up coming back each evening during our stay. A big plus for the chefs knowledge of gluten allergy. We had our dinner here one night and they did a really great job at accommodating gluten free!! :-) the food surely delivered on a much higher level than the first impression indicated. Can really recommend a visit! Nice drinks, nice prices and really nice food! Try it!!

I have been a few times both with family and friends. This place is located on "söder" in Gävle and is small and cozy with friendly staff, and great for just having a drink at the bar or for a three course dinner with nice wine. The winelist is better than most places in Gävle, as they can offer premium wines by the glass, and nice pairings for your dinner. Last time I had lovely fresh oysters, duck foies gras and steak tartare which were all well prepared and with lovely wines to go with each dish. The menu is small (as it should be), and changes seasonally. I would highly recommend a visit, both for enjoying the food but also the atmosphere and great service. Perhaps booking in advance is a good idea as it is not a large restaurant. If you can´t squeeze in for dinner, just pop in for a drink at the bar which is connected to the open kitchen.

We chose the Terassen Pub och Kok for dinner.The food tasted awesome. We had a good advice by the waiter in perfect english. We ate salmon and a typical swedish "cheesecake". Was definitely enough to eat and the price was totally o.k.!

We stayed at the Elite Grand Hotel Gävle and we booked a table here since it is the only restaurant in the hotel. The food is good and the hamburger is actually one of the best i have ever eaten! I would recommend to order sweet potato fries as a sideorder because they are absolutely delicious. The food is a little expensive but it is worth what you pay for!
