The seafood we use is the freshest and locally caught. We offer mako, swordfish, flounder and scallops when in season from our local fishermen. We use only jumbo lump crabmeat. Saturday night our prime rib is certified black angus. All soups are made from
Weâve been to Menz several times with family (not my choice!). I do not understand the fascination with this place. The food is overpriced and nothing special. The service was spotty at best-as if they did not have sufficient waitstaff. The portions are decent but for the price should be more. The decor is very eclectic...like someone took an antique store and blended it with your crazy uncleâs taxidermy collection (do you really want a deer or moose mounted on the wall, staring at you as you eat?). The gift/candy shop was nice-kids and adults will get a kick out of the âpenny candyâ. I get it that this establishment is a long time fixture in Cape May County (hence the multiple pictures of FDR). I guess everyone needs to go once for the experience. Do so, and then move on. And try not to be freaked out by the two-headed goat.

We have been going to Juniorâs for years. They have great crabs which they will clean for you, we call it âprincess styleâ so you donât have to deal with the yucky parts. Anyway, Rick, who owns Juniorâs and is the nicest guy, has been working very hard to make his amazing crab shack more diverse. Last year he opened a dining room and this year he hired a chef. So hereâs the part I donât want to tell you. The food is amazing! My husband and I have literally ordered everything on the menu and itâs all delicious. I personally love the salmon and the scallop entrees, however itâs all great. We should know, I believe weâve eaten there once a week for the past two months. I hate to share our little secret and end up having to wait for a table when everyone else figures out what a treasure this is, but like I said Rick is a great guy....So, if youâre on Route 47 and hungry and see a little yellow crab shack with a giant red crab on the sign, stop in. Order something. Eat inside or outside in the courtyard with a fountain. Trust me.

My dad and I enjoyed a delicious lunch here on a weekday afternoon following a beer tasting trip to Slack Tide. We shared a dozen oysters and a bowl (lentils, scallops, roasted broccoli, romesco and scallions). The bowl was expertly put together- each piece would have been great on its own. This was a recommendation from the Philadelphia Inquirer's Craig Laban and it did not disappoint. I can't wait to get back again. Small seating area, but not crowded when we were there. Street parking nearby.

Food was wonderful, really appreciated the complimentary sampling of soup of the day. Very nice touch. Appetizers : Stuffed portobello, baked goat cheese, haloumi & mushroom crostini, fish tacos & lobster Mac & cheese. Entrees were: steak, salmon, duck confit. Everything was amazing and we will definitely be back next year when we return to Cape May. Service was terrific as well. Only thing I would ask for is demitasse spoons to savor every bit of the luscious soup!
Arrived on a weeknight, please was empty except for some takeout. You order, then take a seat. They have a huge seafood menu also. We ordered clams casino, brisket with fries, a lobster roll, and fried pickles. The food was fresh, but on the conservative side. Look, this is a new place, and BBQ's need some time to find their signature item(s), The clams were 'there', but they were fresh. The brisket was good, but the sauce used didn't compliment it. The rolls for the brisket and lobster roll were fresh. The french fries were great. Lobster roll was also very good. Fried pickles were screaming hot, good dipping sauce, solid item. There is a large pork-beef rib section. I would try these next go around. This place needs to 'country up', and adjust their menu boards like a more traditional BBQ int he southwest, and dial down on their sides, which will help the beef offerings. Also, they carry an abundance of fresh seafood (its near the ocean) so these can be incorporated into the mainstream menu (bbq clams, grilled salmon, etc).If this please stays with the quality food, adds some sauce selctions, and kicks up the atmosphere, it will be a success in a county full of seafood joints.
