Find out what Seafood restaurants to try in Morelia. Morelia (Spanish pronunciation: [moˈɾelja]; from 1545 to 1828 known as Valladolid) is a city and municipality in the north central part of the state of Michoacán in central Mexico. The city is in the Guayangareo Valley and is the capital and largest city of the state. The main pre-Hispanic cultures here were the Purépecha and the Matlatzinca, but no major cities were founded in the valley during this time. The Spanish took control of the area in the 1520s. The Spanish under Viceroy Antonio de Mendoza founded a settlement here in 1541 with the name of Valladolid, which became rival to the nearby city of Pátzcuaro for dominance in Michoacán. In 1580, this rivalry ended in Valladolid’s favor and it became the capital of the colonial province. After the Mexican War of Independence, the city was renamed Morelia in honor of José María Morelos, who hailed from the city. In 1991, the city was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its well-preserved colonial buildings and layout of the historic center.

The place is nice, well distributed, recently opened, clean and in a good location, there's valet parking service and the waiters are good agreeable chaps. They give their best but efficiency is not their strongest quality, also one soup took 35 minutes to arrive at the table. The food is expensive compared to similar places in town, food is mostly tasteless, they have good variety of beers and beverages. The smoking area is the where the best tables are and at least in our visit, none of the tables where producing smoke so, if you want a good view of the aqueduct while having a great cold beer and a not that good dish of seafood. Ask for a table at the smoking area, the front deck.

We were with a friend on shopping, and we decided to have a break, so we decided for seafood and we found this restaurant inside the mall.It has a nice environment and tables on the outside, so you can see one of the main avenues in the city. The meal was just ok, the menus are so used that need to be refreshed. The service is good, they are very kind, but nothing spectacular.Since we needed just to take a break, and eat something good and light so we could keep goin on the shopping duty, i would recomend it for that.

We were here for lunch. The rooftop is relaxing with a pleasant view of the small park across the street. The service was very attentive and friendly. The menu is basic but our Dorado tacos (Mahi Mahi) were delicious. The prices were superb - a fun lunch!

While on a business trip, found this new bar and grill and boy did I make it home late that night. Arrived with some friends from work and had a few cocktails while cool Latino jams were playing in the background. The food was amazing, local cuisine with a hip flare. In the evening they had a live band playing cover songs rocking it out!. Everyone was dancing and having a great time. They even have a kids zone with supervision for the kids to play and hang out while the adults had a few drinks. If your in Morelia, you need to check out this place, you wont be disappointed. Service was on point and the owners always came to check on us to make sure everything was good and that we were having a good time. Place is great for drinks, food and music.

The Fisher's franchise is one of the best franchises in Mexico, second to none, the service was great, the food even better, sadly they didn't have oysters but it's better than serving old ones. Even their shrimp chilaquiles were far better than I expected.
