Iâve been to Boyne City four times since 2008âthis is the first time I ever noticed this spot, which is just around the corner from the main drag, but still near the waterfront. With the posters for $2 cans of beer and a slightly more laid-back vibe than the other spots in town, I figured it was more of a local hang-out. I was right, and apparently that was key to getting a beer in a reasonable amount of time.Granted, all the bars tools were taken, and the place was pretty full; but there was sufficient staff to manage the floor tables, and a well-organized bartender should have been able to handle the bar seating, which was not that extensive. Nevertheless, I must have stood for over 10 minutes while she handed out cans of beer to âregularsâ and fumbled around doing other stuff, whichâI might addâdid not include mixing any drinks, which I know can be time-consuming.All I wanted was a can of Black Label, which I hadnât had in a very long time. I finally got the attention of a younger woman behind the bar, only to be told that she âwasnât allowed to serveâonly to helpââa working-age issue, I suppose. That was fine, but I was hoping it might occur to her to at least get the attention of the real bartender and ASK HER to get me a beer. Alas, it did not. Again, it wasnât like people were two-deep all along the bar. Some simple focus is all that was required.Eventually, I got my beer and some small satisfaction. Overall, this seems like it could be a fun place, and during a typical weeknight, might be enjoyable. The slow service here is just a mystery to me, when a single bartender at my local back home (same size bar) can keep a cold beer in front of everyone, mix drinks, have time to talk and even go out for a smoke on a busy night. Step it up.
Not a fan of not being able to get a bottle of beer but the food makes up for it. Has wood fired wings and their pretzel bites. Yummy! Will pop back in.

The third installment of The Round Lake Group, the Boyne City Tap Room is home to a phenomenal American tinged bistro menu, 40 handles of American craft beer, craft cocktails, and a beautiful selection of wine.
Boyne City Tap Room has some potential in their dining area and outside patio. Nice dark woods and a variety of seating arrangements. Unfortunately that is where the good stops and the very average takes over.Beer - average. Literally everyone thinks they are a vintner or brewer these days and literally not everyone has those skills. Making it harder and harder to find a good local winery or brewery. Boyne City Tap Room falls in the wanna be category.Their beers were very average and their food was the same. I actually got a bit sick and bloated the next day after eating here - not sure it was their food / beer; but it didn't help. My wife agreed with my assessment. So, when in Boyne city if you are looking for local beer grab something from the liquor store and drink it at your hotel; boat, cabin; condo; whatever and you will be much happier. As for food I really don't think there is anyplace good in Boyne City except Cafe Sante and they are great!!!

The waitress had our attention. She was so caring and friendly that we knew we made the right choices. The food was beyond great and we spent time enjoying the atmosphere. She was helpful with the choices of drinks and kept her humor while waiting on us. Great experience

Iconic American pub cuisine. Simple food, made with care, using local ingredients when it makes sense. Featuring 26 craft and domestic beers.
We stopped here for lunch and were happy with our experience. I had the club sandwich and chips. The chips were made there and were excellent. The free WiFi was a great feature that more restaurants should have. The bathroom was clean and the set was excellent. My kids enjoyed a game of Uno before the food arrived. I will gladly return:

During the summer season, the Eagle's Nest, located on the top of Boyne Mountain, is a rustic dining adventure for the entire family!Your unique dining experience begins with a scenic chairlift ride to the mountaintop restaurant featuring magnificent view
When we were there, they were in the middle of renovations, so the food menu was extremely limited. It is worth the 8 minute ski lift up and 8 minutes back for the view, however. That being said, I personally would not take small children up again. They don't warn you before you hop on the ski lift that there are no seat belts. Also, a smaller child could easily slide out the front or the back of the lift. We held our 2 and 6 year old on our laps and were slight terrified the whole way up. In talking to some other parents with smaller children, they were also slightly afraid. In case you were wondering how we ended in that position, when you arrive at the ski lift, they assure you it is fine for smaller children, and it looks like there is a leg lock. The process for hopping on and going up in the ski lift is such that you can't hop back off when you realize that it is not particularly safe. At the top, it is even worse because you have to quickly hop on before the dead drop, and there is no alternative for getting back down in the summer, aside from a very very long walk.

Boyne Falls's oldest operating watering hole! BBQ, BOURBON, & BEER!
After reading BeckyS1951's review we decided to get the Trifecta Platter. Oh my! It was absolutely delicious! Great value, too! We had the prime rib, the smoked sausage, and the brisket (the best brisket he ever had, said he). We topped it off with Tullamore Dew and Oberon draft. A piece of wonderful key lime pie went home with us. Heather, great service! We wanted to return but the vacation events got the best of our time. We hope when we come back to Boyne Falls that the Whi-Ski Inn will be there waiting.

My wife, son, daughter-in-law, 2 grandkids and myself ate dinner here on Saturday night - Derby night. They have a wide range of food - appetizers, sandwiches, entrees, salads etc. My son and I chose the Thai Shrimp rice, the wife did a Cobb, Daughter-in-law did chicken and grandkids - hot dog and chicken fingers. We also had a bottle of wine while kids did chocolate milk. The food arrived relatively fast with waitress doing a very good job checking if we needed something. We finished eating and then had a round of drinks. We had scotches, another Pinot Gris and a Long Island. The drinks were good but wife commented the Long Island was little more citrusy than she was used to.

Trophy Room Pub & Pizzeria, located in the Clock Tower Lodge at Boyne Mountain, is the perfect place to unwind after a day on the slopes or the golf course. Enjoy a cold beverage with your friends while catching the game on one of the many flat screen TVâ
Loved that this little pub was in the ski resort and not too crowded like the others. The food was decent, I ordered the Michigan salad, my friends ordered the chicken broccoli pasta. The ski resort atmosphere is what sold it for me. Loved coming off the slopes and having a close place to drink with a crowd of good people! Will definitely return.
