When two of my friends suggested we meet at Ronin for Happy Hour, I had no idea what to expect. I think I just found one of my favorite sushi places! The staff was amazing and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. We had a wine and some great food, My friends love the ribs and I had a California roll, spicy tuna tacos and edemami! I think I am going to become a regular here! Love this place!

A mixed review here. Three of us recently ordered different special carry-out meals. As you can tell from my many reviews, I eat at a lot of different Chinese restaurants and I usually enjoy most new places I try for Chinese food.GOOD: very friendly service and fast preparation of food. lunch specials. reasonable prices. wide menu. easy nearby parking. ample portions. We really wanted to like this restaurant!LESS THAN GOOD: Both the deep-fried and the sliced meats are pre-cooked, so that an entrée can be assembled at the last minute. The vegetables were crunchy (barely cooked). Despite asking for highly seasoned food, all three meals were bland. (one brown sauce chicken vegetable meal; one garlic chicken meal; one general tso meal). Sadly, I would not recommend and we will not be returning. Everyone has their favorites and obviously there are locals who enjoy this food. We didn't.

I have been going here for more than a decade because of the consistent food quality. They make excellent sushi and do it relatively quickly at a reasonable price. The new space so far is disappointing though. The flow between ordering, paying, sitting, getting served.....it is a mess. They need to completely rethink the process and make better signs. Looks like they tried to build out the interior "on the cheap" instead of making it comfortable and inviting.Next time I will order to go or just grab pre-made sushi.

The pho is really good here. Fresh, hot, and filling. If you never had pho, it comes boiling hot. So don't just dig in, you won't enjoy it with a burnt tongue.
This is 3 places in one building off of telegraph and the 696 in Southfield. Its a brand new building with a mall like feel. One restaurant is a Korean Bbq, one serves up traditional Korean dishes and the other is a shaved ice and coffee shop. The bbq place has long picnic tables and large round tables to accommodate large groups. The menu consists of different cuts of meats, platters and traditional Korean noodle and rice dishes. We came to celebrate a birthday with a group of 8 people fitting perfectly at the long picnic table. We ordered several cuts of meet and a few family dishes. The waitresses and waiters work together to ensure that your meat is cooking well in front of you. They will tend it periodically or you can cook it on your own. The quality of the meat seemed to be up there since it was tender and had just the right amount of fat and marbeling. We were all very satisfied at the end of the meal. Two of us were celebrating birthdays and they brought out cake with candles. Overall the service was good, the ambiance, great and the food was delicious. After an extensive dinner we had to squeeze in room for dessert. We walked down the hall to the shaved ice place. We ordered 2 large bowls and shared between 8 people. You get a bowl of shaved ice the consistency of snow. Its topped with fruits, nuts, mochi, sauces , condensed milk etc.... A very unique experience with differrent flavors and textures. They are pretty large so sharing is highly recommended.

We travel all over the US and Canada and stop at a LOT of Chinese restaurants (and buffets). (See our reviews) This one was a mixed bag for us, but you might like the taste more than we did.We stopped for a late lunch on a Monday. This restaurant is located in the inside corner of a small strip mall at the northeast corner of Lahser and 11 Mile Road in Southfield. Ample free parking. You must go into the mall to get into the restaurant -- no entrance from the street. Like many Chinese places in metro Detroit, they DO have a lunch menu, but this one is not too wide (12-14 entrees, each come with soup, egg roll, fried rice, and entrée). Prices for their lunch specials range from about $8.00 to $9.50 each. (The non-lunch menu was much wider and slightly pricier). We were seated right away and our order was taken promptly. After asking a few questions about the menu, we ordered their Sechzuan chicken lunch special and an order of Orange chicken from the non-lunch menu. Portions are on the larger side, but not overwhelming. All dishes were served freshly prepared and hot. However, the food seemed to lack flavor. Heavy breading on the orange chicken (more than I care for); nicely steamed broccoli with it (good) and lots of fairly tasteless orange chicken sauce (blah). It came with a side of steamed white rice (although it does not state this on the menu). The Sechzuan chicken (stir-fried)was prepared in a bland brown sauce. (No onion, no garlic, no chili, etc.) Eggroll was fresh and okay. Wonton soup was okay; nothing special Atmosphere is typical small Chinese chintz, with mostly booths and a few tables. Bathrooms were old but functional. Overall impression: too bland for our taste and on the pricey side for a lunch special. If you enjoy the food, it is a nice little neighborhood spot for a quiet meal.

This Thai place is a favorite of mine, but very often (especially on carry-out), their veggie fried rice is swimming in a shallow pool of oil. This past week, I finally (duh) asked them to use less oil and the result was amazing. Best veggie fried rice anywhere (and I have travelled a lot). My co-workers (including some vegetarians) are always pleased with their carry-outs here - huge portions. I like very spicy food, and the "medium plus" is hotter than the same rating at most other metro area Thai places.

The place is cozy, good service and good food. It is prefect for a couple. It has a romantic feel. I ordered the N1 Pad Thi noodles . The soup was excellent but they do not serve crackers or noodles with it. I thought the portion was small but I actually had some left over. I feel that you are getting the portion approiate to the cost. Service was a little slow, but it was worth it because the food was fresh

Done several lunch carry outs and I've never seen any place so fast! Literally 5 minutes and you are walking out with an excellent plate of Gang Kree, Thai fried rice or whatever. You have to stop in and give them a try. Not much seating though which is why I usually do carry out.
