Went there with a group of friends. Nice clean place, good food, great service. A nice, quiet atmosphere where it was fun to visit with friends!

FINALLY! We finally found an excellent Chinese take-out place! My husband always orders general tso's chicken and that's how he "tests" good Chinese. He thought it was good but not great. Aside from that everything else was incredible. The vegetable fried rice was delicious and crispy sweet and sour chicken with incredible sauce. The chow mein noodles were terrific. Everything was top notch. The woman taking phone calls and working the desk was very nice. She also worked the dining area and she was a busy lady! Very very happy with our food and will be coming here every time!

We are sushi snobs and have tried sushi in nearly every state we've visited (well over 20) and we have LOVED having excellent sushi so close by! We live in Caledonia, and prior to Jaku opening, we didn't have a sushi restaurant nearby; we either had to settle for grocery store sushi or wait until we had a date night to have decent sushi. Well, not any more! We have always had excellent food and service at Jaku and, while we normally order carryout, we have dined in on a few occasions and the atmosphere is great. We love the cozy setting and the decor and we've always had prompt and reliable service. We especially enjoy their fried mushroom appetizer and their Jaku house rolls. If you're looking for a great sushi, Jaku is definitely a great place to go!
The atmosphere here is the same as most Asian restaurants. The biggest thing to say is that it is very clean. There was the normal spread for a Chinese Buffet with one Large problem. Only about 20% of the dishes had labels. What the heck am I looking at. Of the ones with labels some of them were hard to read. As for the food it was all below average in taste. It looked good but tasted ehh. The best 2 things I ate were mac n cheese and the rice. That's not right. The service was friendly and professional. Overall I give this meal a flat 2 stars. The value is ok. I left a buffet not full. While that may be healthy it's not how I've ever left a buffet.

Group of 5. Clean restaurant, pretty typicalJapanese steakhouse experience. Nothing too flashy. Salad was good, seemed a little heavy on dressing and watery (probably from the lettuce). The soup was different and quite honestly very salty. Noodles and rice were nice and pretty typical (but good ) yum yum sauce. We had chicken, filet, scallops and all were above average. Three different cook levels (from medium rare to medium well) on the filet and chef did them each right. Service was consistent. It did seem a little rushed as we only were eating for about 10 minutes (once main course was served) and the server was already bringing the bill and to go containers. Maybe just a little more time would make it feel less rushed. Overall it was above average and we will likely be back.

A friend took me there for lunch and is a regular so the staff greeted her warmly and quickly gave us a nice table. The decor is rich, cozy, and tastful. Reds, golds, greenery. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! Like, fresh, tasty! It's tucked away in a strange little plaza and I probably would never have tried it if it wasn't for my friend but I will definitely be back!

The dragon roll is a work of art. Literally. Incredible depth of flavors and textures. This is food worth going out for! The fire flower roll was another highlight, incredibly fresh with a wonderful heat to it. We've come here numerous times and never been disappointed.

My family has been happily going to this restaurant for 7 years. We get take out occasionally and eat in occasionally. The food has always been typical fast foodish Chinese food, good but not great. The service has always been really good. They seem to employ very polite employees. The problem came when they made a mistake on a pick-up order. The person on the phone took our order down incorrectly; we didn't realize we were given the wrong meals until we drove back home. I called and was told to come back (10 minute drive) and that they would give us what we had ordered. We showed up, my husband walks in to pick up the correct meal, only to have the owner come out of the kitchen and yell at him. The owner yelled at my husband in front of people checking out and coming into the restaurant because he didn't want to correct our order. He kept claiming the mistake was ours and basically called my husband a liar. Honestly, it was just really weird. Who would pretend they were give the wrong take-out order so they could get free food? Or who would change their mind about what they ordered and lie to get something else for free? I really don't know what the owner was thinking, but I know we'll never return. I won't give any more money to someone who treats customers with such disrespect.

I'm a regular for their take-out and I have been for about ten years now. The ladies are always super kind when I come pick up my go-to combo #1; sweet and sour chicken, with rice and an egg roll. It's such a deal and I can get two meals out of it. This is my favorite place for chinese take-out and has been since high school. Now, 10 years later, I'm still going there.
