Best place in Michigan, and may be Midwest, if you like Japanese style food. Novi has huge Japanese population, and this is the place they go to for good authentic food. Absolutely everything is delicious - noodles, sushi, millions of small dishes/appetizers.

The largest Japanese grocery store in Michigan, proud to bring Japanese cuisine and culture to the Novi area.
This is a really good , authentic Japanese market offering dry goods, fresh fish, vegetables, all kinds of frozen foods and really good take out sushi. One World Market also has a really good variety of fresh and dry Asian noodles, seaweed teas, sauces and pre-made products that are fairly priced and always available. The staff are always helpful and they're eager to make you happy. Highly recommend this place.

This is a tiny, but super-authentic little place that probably only seats about 30-40 people. It's open for limited hours, and you'll almost always have to wait, but it's worth it! Super fresh sushi, and absolutely delicious Udon. If you don't want to wait, try going for a late weeknight dinner. Otherwise, arrive before they open for your best shot at a table. The place is always filled with Japanese nationals, who know this is the real deal. Affordably priced for the quality you get. I hate to give a good recommendation, as it will only get more crowded! :)

Benihana is one if not the original Teppanyaki dining restaurant. I enjoy the masterful show the chefâs engage in while preparing the meal. Besides the food, one of the things I like about Teppanyaki dining is getting to know and talking with the other guest at the table. My hubby and I both selected the steak, shrimp combination. I also had philly roll. Our dishes were good. There were several celebrants in our room, so the atmosphere was very lively. We all had a great time singing and wishing each celebrant a happy birthday. What I didnât enjoy was the long wait time. We waited quite awhile for our wait person and chef to arrive. Afterwards, we learned that the restaurant was short staffed. Something we had begun to suspect! I now understand our wait personâs attitude. At these prices I expect and should receive much better service.Elsie, we apologize for this disappointing experience. Ordered Sushi & Sashimi combo. We got very good Japanese soup with the order. The Sushi plate was very nicely decorated and tasted very good. Very nice building but seats are very close to neighbor tables. Service was good. As the prices are little to the higher side, I would give 4*.Nevertheless very good and we might go again.
