Loved everything about this place. Great food, good drinks, and awesome atmosphere. Family style tables and games that facilitate community and communication! The food is very fairly priced as well. Cute patio, but we ate inside. We also loved the mini size ice cream bars for dessert...so fun!! Would definitely go again.

We were there with a bunch of elderly people in town for their 65th High School Reunion (Sister and I were escorting our Mom). First thing I noticed was that the restaurant had set everyone up in a place with easy access for everyone. The service was prompt and appeared that everyone was satisfied with their food. Mom and I each got the Friday special of All you could eat Fish. ...only there was plenty on the first serving so that was all we could eat! LOL My fish was cooked Just right. Crispy on the outside but fishy on the inside. Perfect. The fries were crispy/tasty. I didn't love the coleslaw - but I think it's more just me. Not a huge fan. Mom and I both agreed that the tartar sauce was a little bland. The cornbread was actually Johnnycake (i.e. a little sweeeeeter). Sister had a burger with fries and said it was tasty. The place IS a bar first and as it got later in the evening, the bar crowd was moving in. As we were finishing up our meals, a guy was setting up for the Karaoke that would be starting around 9 or 9:30ish. Our long table was set up in that area. He worked around us and when he started up the music, he actually kept it a very decent level until we were heading out. Then all the younger crowd started moving in and music went up accordingly. The place has an outside area as well. I didn't think that the food was overpriced for the value. Not a lot to choose from in the area but I really enjoyed this place and would definitely hang out here if I lived in town.

This is a local favorite midway between Dowgiac and Cassopolis. They offer nightly specials and do seafood and steaks. Currently they have very good pizza's with good choices of crust and toppings and the quality and service have gone up since a former waitress purchased the business over a year ago. They are open for Lunch and Dinner.

Only thing I can negatively say about this location is parking is limited. Former bowling alley converted into a beer pub, restaurant, outdoor experience. Everything is good, indoors and outdoors. Went here on Friday night with some friends. Enjoyed it so much I went back the next night with the misses. Highly recommend.

Dockside Dan's

So Dockside Dan's has opened in Sister Lakes last summer, a welcome new-comer in this area, which has limited options for food and drink. What a disappointment!Owners are not local, they live in another state and it shows that they are not "hands on" with this place. They have done little to the interior and it looks like the same old place it has been for at least 50 years. It looks tired and dirty. There is a nice deck out back overlooking the lake that was put in by a previous owner, that is preferable to sitting inside. Bathrooms were not clean and my family actually opted to use the porta potty for the business next door rather than use the bathrooms in Dockside Dan's. Limited menu, food quality varies greatly depending on the day. After more than one trip here, I can say that there is no quality control and no real supervision. First three items i chose on the menu were not in stock. I ended up with a burger that looked good, but was raw in the inside and the size of a hockey puck. The manager just shrugged his shoulders and said it was my fault for not ordering my burger "fully cooked". Chicken sandwhich that was ordered was still cold in the middle. Fries were either burnt or not fully cooked. I do not recommend this place for families, as patrons can do or say whatever they want, and children should not be exposed to this behavior. There are no standards. This place is missing some sort of identity. Its not a sports bar, its not a family place, late night in here they have a DJ who spins urban music for dance parties and kids are unruly and over served. Minors are served in here regularly. Clearly the owners cannot manage the place or the employees. Operation hours are varied on whether or not the owners decide that someone should open it.Manager runs this place like it is a "free for all" his party friends, and late night its a seedy rave party with an alternative lifestyle vibe. Employees freely gives out drinks to friends, overcharges others that aren't in the clique. The manager is now in jail for parole violation, and this place is just spiraling out of control. This little town could use a real quality option with consistant food quality. This place falls short on this point considerably. They are often not fully stocked on liquor and or general domestic beers.I cannot recommend this place to anyone, for any reason.
