We recently discovered this place, although we have lived nearby for many years. The first time carry out was really great. Hubby and I split the cashew chickens and had egg rolls as well. All were beyond our expectations. Next time when our son was in town we sampled hot and sour soup, egg rolls, cashew chicken, Kung pao chicken and fried dumplings. Again, all delicious! I'm definitely returning!

Everything on the menu is awesome. We usually get the lunch and dinner combos. Even the lunch combo can be enough for two meals, dinner combo for sure. Lots of food for the price. The carry out containers are so stuffed they have to staple them shut!! Food is always hot and good. It's mostly a carry out place, but they also have about 8 tables for dining in. Great place.

I ate at this buffet a couple of years ago. It was better then. Unfortunately, the neighborhood and the general economy around the restaurant are not improving. The Buffet is unappealing from the outside, getting dingy inside and the food selection is going downhill. I am always sorry to see that happening.

Having recently moved back to the area after 25 years I found myself at Shong Hey and thought I might get something pretty good..I didn't. Asian restaurants are quite often very similar with a few exceptions. Shong Hey was exceptional in that it wasn't even as good as the chinese buffets in the area. My date and I had different entree's and both were just lackluster. Almond chicken and sweet and sour chicken were both over cooked tough over breaded and less than tasty..I was quite disappointed and will not be back..
