A local recommended that we try Sparks so we stopped in. Got seated immediately and waited on right after. Husband got the pulled pork sandwich and I chose the pulled chicken. The rolls are great, a nice soft substantial grain. Sandwiches were served with tortilla chips and pickles. The bbq sauce....first few bites was sweet and flavorful. Then for some reason got very peppery. My husband and I both experienced the same thing. Maybe the sauce wasn’t blended for some reason??? I don’t like spicy...that’s why I ordered mild. Ended up scraping the sauce off the rest of my chicken. Other reviewers rave about their food so don’t let my review stop you from going.

We've eaten here with a large group after attending movies at the State Theater. Last night we dined here with 17 other people. It's a good place for visiting with others. You can actually hear people in here! Some TC restaurants play such loud music, I've actually seen parents bring headphones to protect kids ears in other restaurants! We had great service. We had 2 people taking care of our group. Drinks were refreshed without asking. We as a group ordered almost everything on the menu! Thr burgers, pizzas and flatbreads were among the most ordered. The food was all hot and came out fairly quickly. We weren't the only people there even though it was about 8 pm. There were other groups at tables and people at the bar.I'm surprised at some of the comments here about service. We've eaten here with another couple and several times with the movie group. I've had lunch here with a group of over 20 women. We've never had an issue with service. The food has always been good. We'd definitely recommend Minerva's. It's a block off Front Street in Park Place Hotel. There is parking, if you're eating here. It's also kitty corner from a City Parking Ramp.
