Things to do in Brooklyn

Very unassuming exterior which we had driven past for years during 2-3 annual visits to Brooklyn. Within recent years, we met another Brooklyn visitor who shared that he eats at Poppa's every morning when in Brooklyn - information we retained. Finally having the opportunity to stop at Poppa's recently for breakfast, it was a breakfast to remember. A bevy of breakfast selections from omelettes to breakfast skillets to homemade cinnamon rolls. My omelette was phenomenal and my dining partner's steak and eggs received equally high marks. I am not a big fan of breakfast potatoes, but I polished off my serving of Poppa's breakfast potatoes. There is no shortage of butter at Poppa's - part of the reason everything is so very tasty. Eating here every day would require a cardiologist-on-call, but a must-do for an occasional taste treat of some traditional American cooking. While there is not tremendous seating capacity, we were shocked that this establishment had a waiting list at 10:30 on a Friday morning. After we finished eating, we understood why! The two waitresses did an amazing job juggling this very crowded dining area. We will definitely return on future visits to the Brooklyn area.

We met here to wish bon voyage to a family member...Having a large party of 12, we were seated in the rear room which was comfortable. All breakfasts were cooked to order, and we were served fairly promptly by our waitress.FYI--Does not take Discover Card.
Where to eat Pub food in Brooklyn: The Best Restaurants and Bars
This a very simple yet cozy diner with a lot of charm. But what is really obvious is their desire to have homemade food made simple and delicious. Everything is fresh and very reasonably priced. Although in this area for a while, I never visited until I heard they had expanded their menu. Plenty to choose from, plenty of specials, and everything, save for a few dessert standards, made on site. My wife and I shared everything and both agreed it all was wonderful. In the Airport Plaza (it's a grass runway) on M-50 just west of the Napoleon Cafe, same side of the road.
