The deafening music probably is intended to numb the palette such that one can suffer through the meal unscathed. We had the beets and chicken tikka masala. Especially the latter did not exactly transport us to India. An uninspiring bowl of shredded chicken accompanied by a bland sauce. Definitely the worst meal in a long time in greater Detroit.

We waited quite a while for a table on a busy Sunday around 2:30 pm, but boy was it worth the wait! Among us we had bananas foster French toast, a seafood pasta, a burger and an entree salad. Everyone was extremely happy with their choice. Our server was helpful and efficient. The atmosphere is very lively - this seems to be THE place to go. If I lived nearby it would certainly become MY go-to spot.

This upscale, lively restaurant, located on Woodward Ave north of 11 Mile Road, never disappoints. We've had dinner here 6 times in the past 6 months, and it's always busy- even on Mondays! The Maryland Chicken, consisting of chicken breasts with crab in a creamy sauce is my fav, but the blackened whitefish, sandwiches, salads, & fresh, homemade bread make this one of Royal Oak's best eateries! Make a reservation, even for 2 people, around dinner hours (5:00 - 7:30pm) or you will have to wait for a table. Nice bar, good cocktails, & a lively, but not too loud, atmosphere. Two thumbs up.
