The population was 5,387 at the 2010 census. The city is on US 2 and is situated opposite the Montreal River from Hurley, Wisconsin. It is the westernmost city in Michigan, situated on the same line of longitude (90.2 degrees West) as Clinton, Iowa and St. Louis, Missouri.

This local eatery is open for breakfast and lunch only. It is a very cozy place in downtown Ironwood, no off street parking. I had the eggs benedict which was very good the sauce I believe is homemade Service was efficient and friendly The person I was traveling with enjoyed their omelet the reastaurant is open till 3pm daily.

Many choices of seafoods...from mussels to crab legs and frog legs. The food was adequate for a buffet with many fish to try...The desserts were quite good...The service was great...that's why they get a four...The place itself if quite ugly and not very up to date in anyway...no color no ambience and no decor...just tables and chairs and buffet...
