Reviews on Cafe food in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. The comforts of a friendly, small-town atmosphere combined with the pleasures of big city life make Grand Rapids an ideal choice for a fun getaway with a host of indoor and outdoor activities. Once known as the furniture capital of the world, the city has a reinvigorated downtown area and a thriving arts and cultural community. Its most popular attraction is the museum dedicated to native son Gerald R. Ford, 38th U.S. President, where interactive exhibits take you to the White House and the 1976 Republican National Convention. Wander through the state's largest tropical conservatory at the Frederik Meijer Gardens, a magical wonderland of gardens, woodlands and over 100 bronze statues by famous artists, including the 24-foot bronze horse designed by Leonardo da Vinci. More outdoor fun is a half-hour away at the sandy beaches of Lake Michigan. Golf lovers have plenty of places to hit the greens since Grand Rapids has more privately owned, daily-fee, public courses than any other U.S. city. Wind up your busy weekend with a cold beer at the Hair of the Frog Brewery or the Grand Rapids Brewing Company.

Lucy's Café is the Creston neighborhood family café offering breakfast, lunch and baked goods. Bloody mary and mimosa bar on Saturday and Sundays.
The Irish soda bread and biscuits were both very good. They both come with butter and jam. The waitress was very nice and accommodating. An order of biscuits comes with two. The soda bread was one piece. My total for both was about $8. Parking on both sides of the building is available.

I like this place ! Sausage gravy and biscuits is one of my favorites, but usually bland or canned. I had the Green Acres skillet with my bread as a biscuit so I could try the gravy. Everything was great, service (Sheila) was fantastic. The only complaint I would have is ? The sausage gravy was salty. So many people with high BP, I really wish restaurants would pay more attention to sodium levels. The rest of the food was not salty. I would definitely go back and try something different !

Maybe we caught this place on an off day. The soup was super salty. The service was virtually non-existent. It looks like a cute place but unfortunately did not measure up.
