A questionable visit. Since our review, we had been making it a semi-regular place to have lunch on Tuesdays but had never tried out their Friday Fish Fries, so last week we decided to stop in and see if their fish were as good as their sandwiches. And so, we did. Naturally, there was a pretty decent sized crowd when we arrived, it being 5:30 in the afternoon and all but we sat down at an open table and waited for someone to take our orders. The bartender-a middle aged woman whom we had met there before-was also doing the order taking and we sat trying to catch her eye as she went back and forth serving bar drinks. No such luck. Other people came in while we were waiting, and she immediately greeted them and served them drinks, but, again, no luck for us. Finally, after abit over 20 minutes, we decided that the bar was just too busy and figured that we might as well head out and try it again another time-maybe earlier next time? We had proceeded, maybe, half way to the door when the bartender suddenly called out "I'm serving drinks! You'll have to wait until I'm through here!", to which we simply continued on to the door and told her as we left. "That's okey-you're busy. We need to get going." The next Tuesday, we again stopped by for the Lunch special but when we entered, there was no cheerful greeting. The bartender, a middle aged man whom we had always found to be friendly and talkative, came up to us scowling. When we attempted small talk, he was terse and uncommunicative. Other patrons inside were looking sourly in our direction as well. When we requested a menu, he returned with one and set it in front of us and slammed a napkin holder down on the bar loud enough to make my wife be startled. We placed our order and as he walked sullenly away, he half turned over his shoulder and said loudly "You caused quite the ruckus here Friday, hey?" This surprised the both of us, but we said nothing further to antagonize the man, who was also doing the cooking. Soon he brought out our orders and set them on the bar in front of us and stalked away back down to the farthest point at the bar where he could be away from us. At this point, I was beginning to feel embarrassed at the atmosphere and the treatment, but proceeded to eat anyway. My sandwich was distinctly burnt in taste-something I had never experienced there ever before-but my wife's order was okey. Clearly, I seem to have committed some sort of taboo and was being treated accordingly. Our good mood melted quickly away and we decided to leave without even finishing. The bartender said nothing as we left. On the way home, my wife and I discussed the incident and decided that despite the previously good food we had gotten there that we would not be returning again. Such behavior was both wrong and embarrassingly out of order on their part. Extremely unprofessional.

We were visiting from out of town for my husbands holiday party. There were about 20 of us that decided to meet here and they actually opened the back room for us. Very accommodating and the food was great.

We grabbed one of their (you build it) hamburgers for a quick supper. Mine included bacon and mushrooms, while others in our party added onions, cheeses, and hot sauce, with side orders of deep fried cheeses curds, mushrooms, and french fries. It was a very nice "bar food" supper.
Mayme's has always been considered a rowdy and rude bar but we decided to try it one ore time just to see if it had changed over time for the better. It Hadn't. Dark, noisy and frequented by drunks and trouble makers. Our car was keyed and at least one drunk tried his best to pick a fight. Not worth going back to again.

A very nice small "brew pub" and pizza place. The pizza is excellent if you like thin crust authentic wood fired pies cooked in minutes with good toppings. Wait staff was friendly and helpful. The beer selection is good and wine is available, no liquor. An older neighborhood bar fully-fully remodeled. We will be back.

We sat at the bar place was packed. Bartender immediately came over. So many beers to pick from and decent wine also. We shared a pretzel that had a great beer cheese dip. Burgers were excellent and cooked to our temperature. Everything looked tasty. Itâs very loud as itâs a sports bar.
