We've heard good things about the "original" Detroit-style pizza, so thought we'd try it. Now, of course, this is not the original original Buddy's, but we were in Southfield, so this suburban Buddy's would have to do. We placed a carryout order for an eight-square with pepperoni on the top, Italian sausage, green peppers, green olives, and black olives. Now, we understand that their normal placement for the pepperoni is under the sauce and cheese, but we like our pepperoni on the crispy side so hence our request (it's not like they don't offer pepperoni on top, as some of their specialty pizzas do it this way - they call it "old world style" or some such). Before we ended our call, we reminded the person taking our order that we wanted the pepperoni on top - they acknowledged this so we thought no problem. We get our pizza and, yep, you guessed it, the pepperoni was buried underneath the sauce and cheese so we got pepperoni cold cuts instead of crispy pepperoni like we like it - that's two "balls" of their score right there. They didn't follow our instructions on how to make our pizza (minus one) and then ignored our reminder that that's what we wanted (minus two).As we got to eating our mis-prepared pizza, we noticed a remarkable paucity of Italian sausage - most pieces had only a couple of little fingernail sized bits of sausage, a few pieces had only one. We also dissected a piece and found no pepperoni on it at all either. So, at least one eighth of our sausage and pepperoni pizza had only one half-inch bit of sausage and no pepperoni - that's another "ball" off the score, if we'd wanted a vegetarian pizza, we'd have ordered it that way.The pizza that we got was okay - the crust was fine with a little crunch around the edges from the caramelized cheese. There was plenty of green and black olive slices and a fair amount of green pepper (but not like most pizzas that we get around the country). We even got an extra - some onions here and there (sadly we don't like onions on our pizzas, but we'll leave the score at poor as we don't want to be too hard on this place).Overall, we can't recommend this place as they don't pay attention to what their customer's order, even when reminded. They are stingy on the meats on top of that. This pizza wasn't remotely close to being a reasonable value for the price we paid. We're sorry to hear we've missed the mark with you, as it's essential for us to ensure your pizza exceeds all your expectations. Our team would appreciate the opportunity to work towards your complete satisfaction and hope you'll give us the chance to speak with you further. Family style restaurant serving breakfast, lunch & dinner anytime, with daily homemade soups and specials.
They have just reopened and the inside is very nicely done. I think the outside will be completed when the weather gets better. The variety of food was great, it is very clean, the food was good, and the service was very good.

My experiences with "storefront' restaurants in strip malls, mostly Asian, has been negative. But circumstances made it necessary to order carry out from Past Fagioli last month, and a group of us were simply amazed and the consistently high quality of what we ate.A group six or so of us ordered a variety of dishes, ranging from salad to past to chicken and we all enjoyed our food. I had the penne pasta Bolognese (perfectly cooked!) while a guest enjoyed the Pollo al Ponte Vecchio (equally as good!)One can dine in, and the restaurant does a brisk business from that market. But it also permits one to dine at home with perfectly prepared and very authentically prepared Italian goodies. I mean, when the pasta is just a touch al dente, that IS perfection.I have yet to try the veal dishes, but it is on my short list. The only negative is the absence of on site wine service, but that is cured by going the take out route.I urge all to give this place a try.

To be honest, we had never dined at SS prior to the renovations, so I can't speak to whether THAT was an improvement or not, but the menu items we planned to enjoy had been removed from the current menu. Might want to update the website...? Still, what was left was easy to leave - by us. The minestrone was a true disappointment for a soup that is very hard to do poorly. So, well done? In keeping with that thought, the veal parm WAS well done, but not in a good way. Overcooking veal is a horror! The meatball (just one) that you can add to your linguine or fettuccine (but NOT spaghetti?) was pretty good. It was small enough that two would have looked much better on the plate. The bread was good. But, ya know, it's just bread... Service was probably better than adequate despite my rudeness. I apologized then, and I do so now as well. Still, what kind of Italian restaurant doesn't have spaghetti or ravioli? ESPECIALLY when both were listed online...Will we be back? Perhaps yes, perhaps no. If we were to return, we would just have to lower our expectations to more of an Olive Garden experience.

Been a while since dining here in Troy and then been here three times in 2 months. Had their special of sirloin, lobster ravioli, salad and vegetable. I stopped in to Andiamo's after a long work week. This is place where the dining experience is historically good and on this visit, they did well. I started with Minestroni soup followed by a splendid pasta dish including rigatoni with an arribiatta sauce and cajun spiced beef tips. Excellect flavor and spice. I concluded dinner with a tiramisu and french press coffee. It was a wonderful way to end the day. Can't wait to come back

My friend and I left one Somerset Mall eatery to try the Brio Tuscan Grill, and we were not disappointed! Wines were varied and reasonably priced, as were the delicious lunch combos. I enjoyed a thick flavorful tomato bisque served with hot, crusty fresh bread and Rosemary crackers along with a half-order of Angel-hair pasta in Pesto sauce. I finished with a steamy cup of decaf coffee and Berries Zabaglione. Wonderfulness! Thank you, Angie for checking on us regularly and returning to refill my coffee mug!

The newly re-invented Bella Piatti opened February 13, 2013 under new ownership and is already on it's way to be the hot spot in Birmingham. The traditional Italian menu with a contemporary twist was created by Chef Francesco Apollonia, who was born and r
Can't believe Bella Piatti has been around since 2013 and this was our first visit. The place was hopping early on a Wednesday night, but the service was prompt and friendly. Liked the wine list (we had a Sancerre), the bread, the calamari, the pasta and the asparagus resotto. We'll be back.Hope you will return and thanks for the great review!

Billâs draws inspiration from the neighborhood and its rich history, creating a setting that is modern but with old-world charm. The creatively classic menu easily incorporates the food of a French bistro, Italian trattoria and American social club. Wheth
Weâre fans of the Robertâs Group of restaurants, especially the BHG. Billâs was delightful as well. Located in a strip mall, it was easily identifiable with well-appointed signage. Parking was plentiful and free. The interior was dark (low vision alert) and woody, reminiscent of a British man cave space. Bring a sweater or wrap because the interior temperature is cooler. As for breakfast, the avocado toast with poached eggs were cooked to perfection and served hot. I did not order the salmon addition, however I based on the entreeâs goodness, I will do so next time! Coffee was fresh brewed dark roast delicious. The server cheerfully refilled my mug servers times over. Price point is entirely reasonable. Maybe thatâs why we noticed so many power breakfast groupings.
