We stopped at Applebee's in Grand Haven for late night food at about 10 pm. We didn't want a full meal but needed some sustenance. Being from out of town, we found the location very easy to get to, but very difficult to return from. You can't go south on Hwy 31 from the parking lot exit, and we ended up on a fast journey heading north, with no way to turn back. After driving several miles out of our way, we finally found a turn-around. Having said that, the food was disappointing. We'd dined two nights prior at the Applebee's in Ludington and ordered the Southwest steak and black bean soup for starters. It was fabulous, so we decided to order it again at this restaurant. My jaw dropped when it arrived because it looked like the chef forgot to include half the portion. There was literally no steak in the soup, and the bowl was less than half full ... of beans. I mentioned it to our server Dillon, who was wonderful. He was so apologetic and told us that he hears the same complaint frequently. Apparently this Applebee's is part of a different corporation than the Ludington location, and the Grand Haven location does the steak soup differently. Dillon did take my soup back to the kitchen and request that the bowl at least be filled with more of the beans. I also ordered a side salad and a decaf coffee. The salad was nice, fresh, crispy. The decaf coffee was stale. Other than the great service Dillon provided, there would be no reason to return to this Applebee's location, especially after realizing that they substitute inferior recipes in their menu.

Went for dinner this evening and the place was half full. Placed our order and the waitress was clueless. We got our salad and noticed that nobody was getting their food. 30 minutes after we finished salad the waitress said the pizza would out shortly. It arrived cold. The manager walked by after I took my first bite and I explained the problem. He asked me if I wanted something else from the kitchen and I said no - wanted a hot pizza. I told him to give me the bill for the salad because I was tired of waiting. He said âforget the salad and scramâ. WTF. Scram? No apologies- no nothing. We walked out - NEVER TO RETURN. Get a clue on the customer service skills.
Tucked inside the Spring Lake Holiday Inn, Burger Theory offers a fresh atmosphere, great service and some of the best burgers you'll ever try. Twelve cold draft beer selections, many of which are locally brewed, and great craft cocktails; there is a sele
We just got back from dinner the Holiday inn/ Burger theory...I have gone to the Holiday inn when it was Jack's we sat outside great food great atmosphere great prices. My husband my daughter and I went to dinner there tonight. He had one beer in a bottle my daughter ordered one drink and I had ice water we ordered three burgers nothing special not a double or triple just a single burger with a small container of fries and our bill was $51. I had a veggie burger it was marginal for anybody be charging over $12 for a veggie burger like that was disappointing. My daughter kindly ask the server to redo the drink it was $9 for a drink and there was barely any rum in it and she nicely asked. The lady said but the bartender said she put some in there and they sent the manager over who said they would fix it but they will charge her for an additional half a shot of rum. live local drive by there all the time probably will not go back you don't get to sit up by the boats you're pushed back behind the pool area in metal chairs. see you get to see the people at the hotel going back and forth going to the pool. So disappointing from what it used to be too many other good places to go to. We vote in love to eat out every weekend but this will not be a place we will come back to way too expensive for 3 marginal hamburgers

After awhile you just get fed up. Tonight was it. No gift certificate or complimentary meal makes up for the shear frustration of having to repeatedly ask for a check, get your own beers from the bar or green sauce because they just forget or can't handle what was not a busy night. C'mon hire some servers that care about taking care of your customers.

This place is in a great location, right before the boat canal. It is an American food pub-like atmosphere, but they have a reasonable broad menu. We both had good salads that where large enough to slake our appetites. The service was a little sketchy. The prices fit the location and the menu. It is worth a visit, better than most places in Grand HavenI am sorry that you did not enjoy your service but am glad you enjoyed the food as well as the atmosphere. If you would like to share more about what was sketchy about the service, please email [email protected] so we can address any issues.

This was my second trip to Fuel and I found the menu to be significantly revamped from my first visit. The service was quick and accurate. The menu varied from appetizers to full course selections and the prices moderate. Whatever your desire Fuel should be your Refuge of choice. Do not miss the Nachos made with pulled pork--the best I have eaten anywhere and I mean anywhere Choice of seating Bar, restaurant or outdoors

at this family friendly restaurant! loaded taco (eggs, ham, cheese, veggies) with not overly spicy 'dipping' sauce was quite nice; others had French toast and child's meal included pancakes and tater tots! featured ciders / beers / hard seltzer can be ordered in 'flights' = 5 oz taster glasses = all four samples were crisp and delightful; coffee equally tasteful - efficient, pleasant waiter!!

A nice, local brewery and restaurant. We stopped here while visiting during our anniversary. Wife loved the various microbrews and a sandwich, I had a pizza. Both were pretty tasty. Staff was candid and helpful. There was an outdoor riverfront dining area but we stayed inside. A bit tricky to get to, but worth the hunt.

J-Dub's is a cozy, casual eatery, with a full bar, wine list and craft beer.
But with a much wider range of entrees and a very nice, if limited, wine list. A classic local independent restaurant âpunching above its weight.â Good service. Very friendly atmosphere. Thanks so much for 1. Dining with us2. Leaving a great review!See you again soon!
