Took some out of town visitors here and it was love at first taste. Limited menu but everything is delicious! Mimosaâs are to die for and as long as you pace yourself everything fits perfectly together especially the warm cinnamon doughnuts!

I went to Griffin Claw last weekend and was so impressed. This is a restaurant with an on-site brewery. The selection of their beers was very good. There were about 20 listed on the menu, including wheat, IPA, lager, pilsner, stout and ciders. I had 2 flights (8 small glasses) and a burger and fries. Some of the beers were outstanding, and a some just OK. The burger was delicious and cooked to order. Seating is Oktoberfest style - lots of large tables and an outdoor section. It was a very relaxed setting. I will definitely return during our next visit to the Detroit area.

The menu is certainly limited. But the food is very reliable and very comforting after a long trip, or when you just want to grab a quick bite in the morning. It is certainly not a destination restaurant, but is better-than-average hotel food. The service was very good, and the room-service was very quick.

Town Tavern is a cool, contemporary American classic In 2007, a modern take on a traditional 1930s tavern opened its doors and made its mark on the busy streets of downtown Royal Oak. Town Tavern is a dining destination bursting with personality and servi
My wife and i stopped in before a concert. We had the town tavern burger, shirt rib tacos and chile grilled brussel sprouts. The burger was terrific, tacos were good and the brussel sprouts were outstanding. Nice beer selection. We had 3 beers and a coffee all which totalled just over $50. The service was a true highlight. The host, the waitress, the bussers and the management were very friendly, efficient, and helpfully. I would come back just for the service alone

I've been coming here since I was a child. Since Buddy's became sort of a "cookie cutter" franchise, the main place to get some official Detroit deep dish pizza was Shields. Haven't been here in about 2 years, but this place must have taken a turn for the worse. I get the same thing every time. The Pepperoni Prize with extra cheese, to go. Service was good as normal, ribs I ordered were good as always. But when I got home and looked in the box? The worse pizza I've ever ordered (including the "Pizza Pizza" variety). Not only was there hardly any cheese, and limited pepperoni, but hardly any sauce either! We live all the way in West Bloomfield, so there was no way i was driving all the way back. We had 3 slices...and had to toss it. And I NEVER throw food away. EVER. But this was just horrible. No flavor, super chewy and extra DRY. It seems like it was almost a joke. I'm not sure if the chef was having a bad day? Or was it something I said when I ordered? But this was down right offensive that they would let a product like this leave that Kitchen and expect someone to pay for it, let alone actually eat it. I'm afraid perhaps the demand for quality has left the customer base? As there is no way this place will stay open long serving up stuff like this when they are known for having some of the BEST. Sorry Southfield, another one of the great classic Pizza joints is nothing but a shell of it's formal self. Guess I'm stuck with these suburban Buddy's locations. Because even they would never stoop this low and let something that looks anything like this to leave their kitchen. Sad day. Purchased on Friday August 25th 2018 around 6:45pm.

The food was good not great. My fish was fresh and crispy, but the fries were a little overcooked & coleslaw was soggy.Sorry you weren't totally satisfied. Hope you come back and give us another try! If you aren't 100% happy with your meal please let a manager know, as we are happy to talk to you.

Our server Jess was attentive, knowledgeable and did an excellent job. We enjoyed the Tomato Fennel soup that had just the right mild kick and was served nice and hot. We went for fish and chips but on Fridayâs they have a Perch special so we chose Perch. Perch was lightly battered pan fried. It was not heavy. Very light and was delicious. Homemade fries were wonderful and the homemade coleslaw was very tasty. We tried the homemade tartar sauce and also thoroughly enjoyed it. Service and meal were excellent. Restaurant is not a chain so it was wonderful exploring different cooking. Menu had many interesting items on it that we will go back to try. Our server was willing to explain everything on menu we had questions about. They had a Kiwi Margarita special today that we didnât try but it looked amazing with real fruit 16oz for $11. Pretty good price for a drink that large. Definitely will go back.

They just opened last weekend. It is a converted car repair shop that the new owners have kept as the ambiance.
This is somewhat of a 'trendy' place in Royal Oak. It was crowed when we arrived for a relatively early dinner but no problem getting a table. Service was pretty prompt as well considering the crowd. Pleasant and friendly waitress. GREAT menu with some unusual unique items: I had the duck burger which was fantastic!Atmosphere was unique and interesting: building was a working garage, ie for fixing cars. The only reason I can't rate the place a '5' is the noise level was deafening. Playing music at high volume, it was really impossible to converse with my family. If you don't care for conversation, this is a perfect place!

Although burgers are their speciality, they also do a good job with appetizers, drinks and salads. The toppings for burgers are limitless. The fries leave much to be desired, but become passable when eating late and /or while drinking. Servers are fast, efficient and friendly.
