The staff was very nice. Prices were reasonable. The California Chicken sandwich was very good! Staff was super helpful in working with my daughter's food allergies. Portions were a nice size. Very clean bathrooms. The menu was somewhat limited but, everyone found something they liked. I would definitely eat there again

This was a surprise to find on the island. Good BBQ can be tough to find, but this was very good. Good quality and good sized portions. We ate outside on the deck, which was great, and the inside would have worked too. The have a nice bar that is a liitle quieter than most bars on the island which was nice break. Definately woud go back.We are thrilled that you enjoyed dining with us. Thank you for the excellent review. We look forward to your return.

A casual restaurant/bar just a short walk down Grand Hill. Serving lunch, dinner, and beverages inside and outside. Televisions and live music. Overnight guests of Grand Hotel on the Modified American Plan or Full American Plan receive a $20.00 per adult
My husband has celiac disease, which makes eating while traveling a challenge. The Gate House has a separate gluten free menu with plenty of delicious choices to choose from. They asked if it was a preference or allergy, which I appreciated, as you need to take special precautions when someone has celiac. We had the onion soup, and half chicken on a bed of veggies and mashed potatoes. It was delicious and the only meal that I felt was safe while dining on the Island. We sat outside on a beautiful summer night. The inside was more of a sports bar, but the outside was very nice. We will be back each summer!Thank you! We are delighted that we were able to accommodate you and your husband during your recent visit. We'll look forward to your return!

Welcome to our kitchen! A Mackinac Island tradition continues on, serving up traditional American fare with Jamaican influences. Enjoy renowned planked whitefish from the Straits of Mackinac alongside scratch-made dishes with vibes of the Islands.
We stopped by this place randomly while looking for a sit-down lunch. We were curious about the sign of Jamaican specialties the most. So happy we made the right decisions, From the waitress, to the drink, to the food, everything was about Jamaican. I ordered the one from their 3-day new autumn menu. It's so delicious. The pork was melt in my mouth. Highly recommended!

This popular Mackinac Island eatery features a celebratory horse theme starring the 1938 true life story of the famous champion thoroughbred, Seabiscuit. The former 1800's bank building was renovated to reveal the original brick walls and hardwood floors
First had breakfast..I asked for extra butter..was told it already had butter. I said I wished to have more..told it was cooked with butter. Never got extra! Also asked for my bacon to be cooked not too crisp..very rudely and abruptly told " it is cooked one way". This lady was the hostess and our server that morning.OK..on to the next time. Same lady at door...asked to sit next to window and she asked how many were with me. As I was standing there alone I thought odd question. Anyway I was told would have to sit in back as I was alone. There was no one at any tables, only three at bar. Not a peak time at all. I told her no I didn't have to sit in back, I could go anywhere down street and not be treated that way. And I did.Third time, as I wanted to try their dinner. I watched for a bit to make sure she wasn't there and then was very politely seated and served. Food was OK. Really made me unhappy. I travel alone a lot and have never been treated like that especially when not a busy time of the day. Please accept our apologies that you were not made to feel like the valued guest that you are. Thank you for giving us a try.

Located on the first tee of The Jewel, with a menu featuring sandwiches, soup and salad for luncheon daily. A complete menu is also available for dinner. Guests can enjoy this casual dining locale as an alternative to dinner in the Main Dining Room. Golfe
The food was adequate but not great. When the waiter found out we werenât going to order drinks, he said âohâ and walked away. It then became he was doing us a favor to grace us with his attention. Honestly, we should have left right then, however, it was a gorgeous day so we stayed. Things did not improve as far as service is concerned but he still expected a tip, of course. $8 for a $1.50 beer, I donât think so. $16 for a Bloody Mary? Nope. If our service had been decent I may have ordered a drink. Obviously, my money isnât as good as a drinkers. Never going back. We apologize that you were disappointed by your recent visit with us to the Jockey Club. We certainly strive to treat all of our guests whether drinking or not with the upmost respect and highest level of service. We apologize if you experienced anything other than that. Our drink prices are on par with the rest of Mackinac Island, being an island we do charge a bit more than the mainland to make up for the shipping costs. Our apologies.

This place came highly recommended by our hotel and Trip Advisor. The pot roast was as good as we heard, and the Walnut salad crisp and delicious, too.

We loved the ambiance of Millieâs. Cute tin stamped ceiling and walls, cozy wood booths. Our server, Casey, was a bit wackadoo. Singing as he delivered things âhereâs your cock-tailllllâ that sort of thing. We enjoyed the chicken sandwich and lemon rosemary chicken breast. The truffle blue cheese fries were a bit of a letdown. Not terribly blue cheesy w the sauce. It was end of season so they were out of quite a few things. Would have liked to try the pierogi.

The famous Pink Pony is the Island's foremost entertainment establishment, offering many mouthwatering dining options, a full complement of refreshing beverages and extraordinary live entertainment. Michigan's Most Iconic Bar!
We stop each on each trip to the island for a rum runner! Weâve eaten there a few times & the food was pretty good. They do have live entertainment so the bar can get pretty loud & rowdy at night so if you want a quiet dinner Iâd look elsewhere or sit away from the bar area.
