In St Ignace about 10 years ago and at that time thought Driftwood's perch was some of the best we'd ever eaten. Pleased to find Driftwood still in business when we passed through again recently, enjoyed outdoor porch they added since our first visit. Late lunch wasn't crowded, good selection of beer. Hubs and I shared a whitefish basket and a perch basket. Whitefish was good but perch outstanding. I'm a Lake Michigan girl and don't know how I ended up in landlocked Arkansas where there are no perch. We appreciate your continued patronage, thank you! We are happy to hear that your experience at The Driftwood did not disappoint after 10 years :) I guess living in Arkansas makes you all the more appreciative of our fresh water fish! Thank you so much for stopping in, see you next time :)

The hotel we stayed at didnât recommend this place but let me tell you this, perfection! I had the Pastie with gravy and my wife had the breakfast. We have eaten breakfast at several locations in St. Ignace and this place is the best! You will not be disappointed.

Casual lakeside dining on beautiful Lake Huron. Stop in for our fresh broiled Whitefish, juicy slow roasted Prime Rib, charbroiled steaks and homemade Clam Chowder and soups.
Tried dinner here and ended up returning for breakfast. Typical aged humble facility. Servers were proficient and kind. Menu expansive. Accommodated a couple special requests. Food portions were plentiful. Prices reasonable. Would recommend. View of bay from one room and also a bar area.

We went here because it was recommended by someone my husband knew who used to live/vacation in the area. We arrived about 7:50am, people seated and eating. We had a large party (8) and they put tables together and we sat down. We should have anticipated trouble when the lady who seemed to be in charge was rude to her employees in front of patrons. Waitress took coffee orders of the 5 of us who were seated (3 others showed up a few minutes later). We were here for a swimming event my husband did and went to breakfast because we had at least 2 hours before he would be in a location we could actually watch him swim. This place has the worst service ever. The whole room turned while be waited for basic breakfast food. 45 minutes of waiting and my sister went to inquire about our food. Instead of remedying the situation the owner (man) argued with her on how long we had been there. One plate came out, then two, then two more, I asked for mine with a box because we had been there so long now I was worried my husband would finish before we got back. The food was not even that good. The service was terrible. Definitely need to figure out how to run a kitchen. Breakfast should not be this hard. Skip and find another place.

My husband and I were in town for an event that started very early in the morning and in our quest for a cup of coffee we stumbled upon this place. Not many establishments are open before 7:00 am, including this place, but one of the waitresses opened the door for us when she discovered us sitting outside waiting for them to open. The place is pretty small, but cozy. Both my husband and I got their breakfast pasty. It was tasty but the crust was a little doughier than what we are used to. I heard the waitress tell a customer about their awesome cinnamon rolls and thought to get one until we discovered that they grill them as ordered and take a little while to make. We wanted to get one to go, however as it was a very busy weekend, people were standing around waiting for a table and I would have felt bad making them wait even longer as I wasnât interested in giving up my table to wait in line myself for a cinnamon roll. Perhaps we will get one when we are in the area again. The wait staff was very friendly, even when one of them just about ended up wearing a pot of coffee because of all of the people that were standing around waiting for a table. The only thing I really didnât really care for were the bathrooms, they were right off the dining room and were extremely smallâ¦â¦â¦.you definitely would not want to make a lot of noise in there, if you get my meaning. They were also not handicapped accessible.

I stopped in for a dinner and ordered the whitefish special. It came with sweet potatoes and greenbeans & carrots. It was tasty and seasoned well. The sweet potatoes were crunchy and so were the green beans. The service was good. I also had a local beer that was excellent. I certainly would go there again.

We were attracted by the outdoor deck over looking the lake. There aren't that many tables so were prepared for a 30min wait in August. However, unfortunately it wasn't worth it.On a positive note the margaritas were big, very good and reasonably priced at $7. The roast chicken portion was also generous and well cooked but had little favour of garlic butter as it said on the menu. Aside from that when we ordered we were told we would be charged an additional $1 per entree as we were ordering potato side despite the menu stating this was included. The side salad included feta cheese. It was served with no cheese and when I queried a portion of cheese was bought out but it was parmesan which they then claimed was feta. Our jacket potato sides were hard and almost inedible.I had asked beforehand what vegetables would be served as our second side and told baby carrots but we were then given brussel sprouts which would not be to everyone's liking. Our server told us when I questioned this that they had run out of carrots but hadn't bothered to inform us. When the bill came the two drinks we had whilst we were waiting for our table and had categorically been told could not be put on a tab (so we'd paid cash) were added. We were also charged an extra 4%for paying by credit card, which we've never encountered in the US before.Overall not a great experience and wouldn't go back.

Clyde's is a throwback to the past. They have great burgers and fries. You can eat in your car or at the counter. I would imagine that you wouldn't want to eat outside in January. The Big Clyde is great. It is huge! I wouldn't call it health food, but it is comfort food and well worth the price and experience

Came here based on the ratings and reviews...thought we would give it a try! Glad we did! We started with the pickles and the sauce that accompanied it was very good. Our meals were excellent. The staff was friendly and courteous. The kitchen seemed a bit slow with the later evening rush. We took our dessert to go so we could catch the sunset. Ould definately reccomend coming here to eat.
