Went with a friend on my first visit to Cascade Roadhouse. He assured me "pleasure". It did not happen. The place was decently busy, however, the serving team was not on game. We waited for service. And the Old Fashions were at best so so. Met some friends-that was good. Seems there are regulars. I'll give it another try but not a good first visit.

I was staying at the Hilton Garden Inn and decided to walk over to this place for breakfast. The place was crowded on Saturday morning ( 7.30 am ) very friendly atmosphere. The service is awsome, they have many dietary options. Typical diner menu plus a lot more. The food is fresh. Their veggie omelette was awsome. Do not miss their freshly squeezed orange juice. They are open from 6.00 to 3.00 .Portion size is big.

We had some friends meet us here for their Thanksgiving brunch. Everything was very good. They had prime rib, turkey, ham, deviled eggs, stuffing, chicken, potatoes, salad, fresh fruits and plenty of desserts. Service as good and plenty of seating. Best to make a reservation.

So many restaurants in GR do not take reservations, that we've kind of gotten used to "the wait." This one caught us by surprise. They *do* take reservations. We did not have them. We were told that it would be 90 minutes. That's fine. We planned accordingly and ran an errand after we put our name in. Then we came back and waited. And waited. It was actually over 2 hours. The thing that made us feel better? Everyone who came in with reservations was also waiting. Some of them were told upon arrival it would be another 30 minutes. When we got to our table, the wait was not over. Service from the bar and the kitchen were both slow. Our server was apologetic and brought some small extras to the table because we probably looked ready to eat her. The burger, the Pad Thai, and the cod were all very good.

This is a really comfortable place inside, obviously popular with the locals. There is a nice dining room and a bar area with tables. The menu has interesting items, including duck breast. I had a mushroom gratin starter, which looked great and tasted good, but not great. The best dish was a Caesar salad with a caramelized anchovy dressing. I normally donât like sweet dressings, but this was only slightly sweet and very good. My main course of lamb shank looked and smelled great, but lacked on taste. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
The peanut butter cinnamon roll and custard long John were both really good. I'll have to come back and try some of the others! Cute little place. There is seating if you want to eat there but we got ours to go.

We moved to the area in January. In the midst of the worst weather in years, Pour House was the only place open one evening. Despite the place being very crowded, we were given a friendly greeting while we waited for seating. The chefs specials all looked interesting, I chose a beef short rib which was one of the best Iâve had, with a buttery, flavorful gravy and a side of smashed potatoes. So huge we took some home. My wife enjoyed the butter filet, rare, and the owner came to our table to explain the cooking process they use for it including a unique butter poaching. Cooked to perfection and delicious. We also recommend the calamari. Bar has a good craft beer selection and the cocktails are generous and well made. A great discovery, we canât stay away for long!

Main business is catering, however, open Thursday and Fridays for takeout from 11 am to 6:30 pm.
Michigan is not really know for BBQ, but The Pit Stop is excellent BBQ anywhere. Go early for lunch; youâll still wait, youâll just wait less. The wait is worth it, however. Cafeteria style service, no inside seating. Only four picnic tables out front; they are covered if itâs raining, but outside so wear a coat if itâs cold.I know itâs not the South, but some fresh brewed iced tea would go better than canned with the food.

This upstairs cafe has a good menu, but the best thing there is the Fish & Chips. The fish is fresh and fried in a potato chip batter. It is the best I ever had. The portions are large and the pace is easy. It is worth the short drive from Grand Rapids to Ada.

Visited here with the grandkids to get a treat after school. The waitstaff was very kind and patient. But this ended up being a pricey snack. Added to that is a ton of sugar. Well, we tried it but won't return.
