I called to confirm availability of a room, the response was great. I checked in at 11pm and got a room with my kids(4 and 1.5years old). The rooom, bathroom and bedding were clean. The TV wasn't working. The distance between the room and reception is far if you have luggage then it's not fun. The breakfast was great, they were accommodating considering my kids were too specific. It's close to the road thus easily accessible, they accept payments via visa, Mpesa or cash. They were receptive and supportive.

Another stay at The Meru House as I visited Meru and this cosy B&B keeps to its tradition of Home Away from Home. Excellent breakfast this morning. Morris and Josephine, the only two staff are nothing short of first class hosts. No alcohol is served but one can bring their bottle of wine and have it served at the gardens or in the dining.

Although I stayed for a night, I loved the entire experience starting with the cosy rooms and the serene ambience. Breakfast was nice and healthy. Friendly staff and ample car parking facility. The Hotel is situated right on the main road, so getting transport was no issue. A thrilling experience!!!
The Consular Resort is Off the Meru -Maua road.It features a three spacious exclusively private bedrooms in a mansion homelike-style with two spacious balconies ideal for an executive, groups or families . The hotel is located next to Gatimene Gardens hotel which is a 1-minute walk from the main road.

Affordable and luxurious, all in one package to ensure that you and your family get the best experience and always have a reminder that Three Steers Hotel is the best get-away haven for anyone who is looking to create fun and precious memories.
The hotel is very basic. The room fittings are falling off, no enough towels in the bathroom, the heating water jug was faulty. The breakfast was very poor and the dinning chairs we loose . No varieties of food at the breakfast. The hotel seems to be run down for when it was new it was one of good hotels in Meru

I visited Elsa for the first time on 22nd April 2018. I met the night manager then; Mr Chege. Very cordial, courteous and immensely helpful. We were received at the reception with a glass of juice and warm hand towels. The manager went out of his way to arrange safe parking for our vehicle at the hotel at no charge after a night out. Amazing service! I went back to Elsa on 28th December 2018. Mr Chege had left. There was no juice or hand towels this time. Receptionist was helpful but the night manager was aloof, dismissive and unhelpful. Standards have dropped! The bar man saved the night though. Very jovial chap!

The hotel is in town, easily accessible and close to shopping centers. The rooms were pretty neat and beddings and towels clean. The receptionist was friendly and welcomed us warmly despite us checking in very late. The only downside was the parking outside that didn't seem to be so safe and the underground one that felt dingy. Other than that, I would visit the hotel any other time am in Meru and need a place to crash.

white star is like an old slipper.it is worn, lacks lots of bells and whistles but feel like home base.we have stayed there three times over the years while on trips for our charity hope children's fund.we run an orphanage in meru-jerusha mwararia hope children'sfund home.the rooms are clean by kenyan standards and the restaurant serves cold fanta..a big plus.the owner is a member of the kenyan government and a kind sweet fellow.the showers are electric ,yes ,electric, made in italy.it takes some skill to shower without shock.this is not a high end location but a solid and consistent one.
