... we've had so far in Vietnam. The food was excellent. We ordered the beef with lemongrass, pineapple rice, pork ribs and mixed vegetables and every dish was very good and fresh. The owner, Mickey, greeted us personally and gave recommendations. The waiting staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely dinner! I wish we could've tried the expansive bar menu but we were just too full. ;) Btw: the restaurant specializes in beef.

Ordered the Pho with beef and meatballs. It was delicious, highly recommend for Pho. Good size portions for the price. It was a peaceful environment, staff were friendly, however they came once to see how we were doing. Didn't get refills since they didn't come by. 4/5 stars because delicious food but I like attentive servers.

If you want to eat like the locals, this is the place to go. It is a typical Vietnamese restaurant where locals like to go, many different dishes, service is good but no english spoken. It is also very cheap and suitable for all: from backpackers to tourists with a bit of curiosity but fatter wallet! obvioulsy not for those who want a western style restaurant and clean bathrooms! Portions are huge so you can easily split one dish, best share two or three different ones, you will not be disappointed.

We were keen to try this place but unfortunately following the directions to the letter (146G) just took us to a Vietnamese corner food stall selling bbq pork with rice.
We were staying close by and had seen that it was very busy at night, absolutely full of local Vietnamese people all enjoying themselves. We decided to give it a go and the risk more than paid off. It was very good. There is very little English spoken and the menu was hard to decipher, but we chose noodles, vegetables and a goat breast BBQ, which was very Korean BBQ style. ie we had to cook the meat ourselves over a lovely little charcoal BBQ, that sat on our table. The staff were very lovely and kind, the beers were cold, the food was outrageously cheap and very flavoursome and the smiles from all of us told the story. We were the only tourists in amongst a big bunch of locals and we were made to feel very welcome. Well worth a look, especially if you love goat meat. :)
