We are not the best people to be reviewing an Italian restaurant since we lived back East which has the best Italian food you could ever imagine. So I am trying to keep an open mind. We heard good things so decided to try it....MoreSo sorry you didn't like your meal. I would hope you would come back and give us another try. I would suggest a fresh pizza, our slices are half baked and finished off with the toppings. Thank you for your input.

we drive THRU' Meeker when going to/from points north -- and I'd only been off "the main drag" once before. glad we took the block-or-so detour -- as going to the Meeker Café probably does give one insight and experience into the "actual" Meeker -- more so than the highway. It was breakfast, day after July 4, and though crowded with (apparently) only one waitress, we were waited on and served as-quickly-as-seemed-reasonable. and ... though I know only two people in town, one of them was doing a business meeting in another room and we caught up. Wife and I wanted "American breakfast" and this place has that genre nailed down pretty good. Though I ordered a
smallish meal, it was filling and coffee-cup refilled frequently. Inexpensive !

Service is prompt, friendly and attentive to your needs. All meals are prepared fresh authentic seasoning and ingredients. If you want a Mexican slaw you'LL have to order it not brought out with your chips/salsa.I had a pork enchilada with a Chili Rellanos plate generally offered w/rice and beans.Meat very tender tasty all well seasoned.Take a while to walk around their menu so much available.I judge a Mexican restraunt by the quality of the salsa this had pieces of cilantro, onions etc not overly just tomato juice.

Really surprising to find such hand on service with your meal exactly how you want your meal.Felt like a open faced cheese burger with green chili covering it not on menu no problem.Extra care my bun nicely toasted, meat as ordered fresh not a frozen pattie.Huge order wanted onion rings whatever you want for a side no extra charge. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner open til 9p.Simple but clean neat dining room.Oh and home made pies and other desserts......if you have room or take it with as I did my bread pudding such a big piece.Such nice people work there you will really want to return.

Late afternoon last week a buddy and I were traveling back from Montana. We were passing through the small community of Meeker, CO when we came across Clark's Big Burger along the main road through town.
We weren't very hungry but agreed a milkshake sounded awfully good at the moment. It was probably near 4:30 PM and there were already about 11 people sitting in the restaurant. As we walked up to the counter to order our milkshakes a basket was being brought from the kitchen and it was filled with a huge delicious looking burger and load of fries. If we hadn't been on a tight schedule I think we would have stayed for an early dinner.
The menu board offered a wide selection of ice cream choices, including shakes, malts, and flurry-like concoctions. My friend ordered a chocolate one and I ordered a chocolate butterscotch one.
Along with ice cream, the menu board offers a wide selection of burger choices as well as several other options so no one should leave starving. Our order was taken by a nice young man who also was the shake maker for the joint. While standing there waiting for our drinks several other orders came out... all hamburgers!
The place was clean, service friendly, though not fast, prices good and product seemingly even better. There was ample seating considering the size of the community. There was also plenty of parking.
With milkshakes in hand, we had to head down the road for home. These shakes were creamy and very flavorful and made our long journey seem just a tad bit shorter.
Overall, I have added Clark's Big Burger to my list of stops should I pass this way again.... except this time my shake order will include one of those big burgers!

The China Star just opened a couple of months ago. New Ownership!! The location used to be the Great Wall Chinese Restaurant. I did not like the Great Wall but I love The China Star!! Open 7 days a week!! Conveniently located on State Hwy. 13.. Market Street in Meeker!! Easy to stop by on your way through town or.. of course as a resident!! Fantastic Chinese food!! Extensive menu!! Lunch menu is a great deal served until 3 o'clock!! Big portions served off lunch menu and even bigger portions served after 3 from the regular menu!! You save a few bucks if you get there before 3 and order from the lunch menu!! If an item is marked spicy... you can order it non-spicy and if an item is not spicy... you can request it spicy!! Very friendly and prompt service!! NO ALCOHOL SERVED!! They do have coffee, tea, iced tea and some usual carbonated soft drinks. I'll definitely be a regular customer at the China Star!!

My husband and I were only supposed to spend a night in Meeker as we made our way across the state, but we ended up spending three days. We went golfing, flyfishing and touring the Flattops, but we would never have found this place alone. When the woman who ran the hotel we were staying at told us there was a place in Meeker that served mussels as well as the occasional sushi- we had our doubts, but after following her directions to the small restaurant behind the post office we were pleasantly surprised. Being from MA, we take our seafood seriously, but I have to admit we loved the food and the service. The decor is simple, but the atmosphere is cozy. We would certainly go back.
