The Kigambira experience
Reviewed By Lorah Carolyne KWe had such a good time, the staff were so warm, the bed and the cabin were so comfortable and the serene ambiance. The food was excellent. The animals around the lodge too were amazing to see. Room for improvement on electricity issues.

Good value and comfortable
Reviewed By jenningsw2014We had an unplanned stay at Palm World due to an internet issue at our original hotel. It's in a fairly location, and the security is good. The room are spacious and beds comfortable. The hand-held showers are on-demand warm water. The food is ok and pretty inexpensive (breakfast is included, but the restaurant is open all day) - but very slow when ordering from the menu. The internet was ok unless a lot of people were on it (typical in uganda!) The downsides were just slow food, and sometimes blaring TVs from the lobby or another guest room, and the noise does carry with all tile floors -- when we were there, there was a large group, and they were pretty loud.

The Worst night Ever!
Reviewed By 927denismMy family and I had the worst ever night in a hotel.The hotel allowed a group of people to play loud music with a mobile speaker in their garden till 2am in the morning! The individuals who were not residents kept shouting and dancing while we tried to sleep. The Receptionist looked on helplessly while The Security seemed also not bothered! A call to their Marketing Executive called Davis Mugumya did not help because the noise went on till the group decided to leave. It's a shame that any hotel resident can suffer such. Good midrange option
Reviewed By James KThe rooms are nicely furnished and have mosquito netting. Traditional grilled tilapia and local Matooke with chapatti is some of the best I have had in mbarara. Showers are as hot as they come. The local TV channels are available in the rooms.

Lovely Cottages on Lake Mburo
Reviewed By 400vickijThese cozy cottages are near Lake Mburo and are a fun place to stay. After dark, we had to be escorted by armed rangers to our cabins because of wildlife. To our surprise, there was a hippopotamus within meters of the front door of our cabin. Luckily, he didn't seem to notice us or maybe he just didn't care. Of course, there is more to see than just hippos in Lake Mburo National Park and the Arcadia Cottages are a lovely place to stay, particularly because the staff is very friendly and the food is delicious.
