We had friends over from England for a weekend, so we were planning a meal out on the saturday evening, Where to go?? We decided on The Stone Haven, We have been here before and were pleased with it,Great choice! we all loved it, good relaxing atmosphere, good service, the only fault was the Chicken dish my wife chose was not the greatest, the skin was very leathery, apart from that, very good.

As we all know Maynooth is a University with anything up to 11,000 students so no surprise that most places are busy especially when dropping kids off to College. The menu was nothing fancy and the decor was the same. What was unusual was that we could see the food being prepared by the Chef and it was interesting to watch. The food was excellent as was the service and even the prices were very good. I would definitely try this place again when in Maynooth.

Authentic Italian Cuisine, Twenty years ago, Donatello's Ristorante was the first restaurant in Maynooth and for two decades it’s acted as a community hub for everyone in the town. Now the family run business has moved to the Main Street from the Town Centre Mall.
We spent a lovely Saturday night enjoying the fresh Italian food served at this amazing restaurant. We had a prawn linguine and pasta carbonara both of which were cooked to perfection and served by welcoming and friendly staff. The depth of flavour was refreshing and the setting was fantastic. We had no initial booking but were accommodated with an outside table which provided great comfort and ambience. We will definitely be back sooner rather than later to visit this hidden gem.Bravo to all!

My wife and I called in to the Village Inn, Main Street, Celbridge last Sunday after services for a quick drink. While there, we looked at the menu which was very appetising. We both had the chicken and mushroom starter with chips between us. This comes with side salad. We also enjoyed lovely guinness to wash it down. This was our first time here since renovations recently and we were very pleasantly surprised. Although the creamy sauce in the vol-a-vants was nice, it lacked that something to make it triumphant. Still, the starter was well presented and tasty. Good spot the "Inn", and we will be back.

Spanish / South American / Latin food, slightly adjusted for Irish tastes / Palates.
The food was ok but didnt taste delicious. I felt queasy after it but it may have been a coincidence. The patatas bravas are listed as vegetarian yet are cooked in the same oil as chicken wings making them most certainly not vegetarian - staff member didnt to understand the problem when questioned. Probably my least favourite eaterie in Maynooth currently.

The all new menu offers a delicious choice from early morning until late afternoon. Porridge, pancakes & homemade scones are but a small selection of our breakfast menu, with "the traditional Irish" proving so popular, it's available all day. Gourmet sandwiches, panini's & wraps are freshly made daily, with our "chicken delight" proving to be very popular. Cajun chicken, sweet pepper, cheese & mango sauce (made to Virginia's own receipe) is a tasty treat. We serve homemade soup with brown bread, a selection of hot meals including honey ginger chicken & lasagne. Our specials are all served with freshly made salads or fries, & our daily lunch special including a beverage is excellent value. Come visit us, & having sampled our tasty menu including homemade cakes & freshly brewed coffee, we hope you will return to this cosy haven in the centre of Maynooth.
Coffee Mill is excellent. Food is fresh and delicious. Choice is very good. Denis and Virginia are friendly and welcoming. All the staff are so nice and friendly and so helpful. I go there so often that I am disappointed when my "usual couch" is...MoreAndrew & Trish, Thank you so much for your kind review and please know that we love seeing you come in on such a regular basis. From now on we will keep the sofa reserved for you's especially .☺☺☺

I ate lunch here last year, and I remember the vegetarian chili con carne was delicious. It was on the sunday menu. I believe the menu changes quite frequently and I tried visiting requesting the veg chili but didn't seem to be on menu again...MoreThanks Christina, we will have Chilli on the menu again soon but we do like to vary our specials to keep things interesting. Come back again soon!

My brother and myself took our elderly parents here for our Dad's 93rd birthday on January 21st.
This was our 3rd visit and as expected we had a scrumptious seafood meal. Deliciously freshly cooked fare with outstanding flavour. Excellent friendly service and plenty of patience with our very elderly parents. Empty plates and great coffee to finish.
My brother lives in the Netherlands and I live in England so we are not only comparing to restaurants inIreland. We shall definitely be back and recommend to others.
