We are entering what looks like a sleepy town, and the tour bus pulls over in front of a plain looking building for lunch. The usual welcome musicians and mojitos (haven't had one since I left Cuba!) are waiting, and my suspicions start to take over. But all of that trepidation turns to relief when we enter a beautiful and very well run dining area. Booked in advance by the tour company, I think we had food choices, but the seafood was excellent, and it was a very pleasant experience. You can tell that well to do locals also patronize them, which is a good sign. Highly recommended!

fun times we had at la casa de Al. Apparently Al Pacino lived there when he was going to Varadero, so it makes it fun to eat there. I took the lobster and it was very good. Lovely time and beautiful view.

Only one of its kind in the city, natural paradise where you can taste the most delicious Cuban cocktails and tapas and typical Cuban and foreign dish. A place where you always want to go back
You'll find this place ⦠it is loud! Why? Because the band is practicing / playing! On a Sunday afternoon, visit the backyard; revel in the sun and the birds; drink a Cuba Libré, and listen to Orquestra Juvenil Swing Cubano!!These teenagers do NOT have all of the "luxuries" of their counterparts in the U.S. or Europe ⦠if their clarinet reeds / guitar strings / drumsticks break, they have to "make do." But what they lack in easily accessible replacements, they more than make up in enthusiasm, ability, desire, and sheer fun.The director at the local high school has put together a group of performers who enjoy swing music of the '30s and '40s ⦠they play with varying levels of ability ⦠somewhere between a "B" and an "A+", and they haven't yet gotten to the skill of riffing easily (the director will help them), but their technical skill is very good. They are learning how to be performers on stage, and doing well. There is a young clarinet player ⦠she appears to be about 15 ⦠give her a few more years ⦠she actually gave a passible imitation of Benny Goodman in "Sing, Sing, Sing."

We came here one afternoon for a break from heat, and it was like entering a small, empty nightclub - dark with neon lighting and loud music! The AC was strong, as we sat down we were offered complimentary cold towels, dried fruit and a refreshing drink. The service was good, polite and attentive. There's a very extensive cocktail list - the ones we had were pretty good but expensive at CUC4-5 each. They also serve light snacks but we didn't try them. There's a bathroom for customers.Dear costumer.I would like to thank you on behalf Bistro Kuba Bar-Café staff for your comment. We are very carefully studying all proposals to take all necessary.Once again, thanks for your invaluable review on Bistro Kuba Bar-Café and for recommending us to friends and family. We all look forward to welcoming you once again.Sincerely,The Public Relations & Management TeamPequeños Suarez
