Venha desfrutar do melhor da culinária baiana em um ambiente aconchegante no litoral norte da Bahia! #correvemprosombra sigam @restsombradamangueira
This restaurant is under a tree-- a massive mango tree well worth the trip in and of itself. There is a massive net that catches the mangos so you don't get boinked on the head if you eat outside. We never visit the coast without a stop here for the best in sea food and especially the mocquecas cannot be beaten. If you are staying along the coast in another town get instructions because it can be difficult to find the town. After you pass Imbassai about 10k down the road you swill see a sign but the road into Diogo is difficult as it is an acute right hand turn off the main high way running along the coast. Almost looks like a private road, but don't be deterred your there and a couple of Kms of cobble stone, speed bumps and you are there.Definitely worth the trouble.

this is an award winning restaurant in a small isolated town that my wife and I "discovered" by accident trying to get to the beach in Diogo a few kilometers north of Praia do Forte. We would have driven past except that there was a police vehicle with several satisfied looking police officers getting in their SUV when we drove by. This is always a good sign for good food so in we went.We were not disappointed. The moqueca de camerão com queijo was excellent, better than Yimanja in Salvador. The service lacked a little since the servers were watching football on TV and we were the only customers, but this is a small town, so whats your hurry? You will spend much more for less in big cities. Dont miss your opportunity to eat fresh sea food done in the Bahian style in one of the small communities where it was invented

We have eaten here twice. The set up is cafe style with both outdoor and indoor seating. It is set back a little from the street giving a good view of the people in the street without being inconvenienced by the traffic. Seating is simple many people walk by and exchange greetings with friends- it is just that kind of placeThe choices are ample and you must take care not to order too much, sharing appetizers and main dishes is perfectly acceptable or you may be stuffed. I would estimate it would take me another year to eat my way through the menu. The empanadas are a delightful start followed by a pasta accompanied by delightful brazilian wine (yes you read that correctly) or special Brasilian beers. The owner will happily help you decide which will most compliment your food choices.I have not yet been able to save enough room to chose a desert, being tempted by delightful appearing sweets and cakes etc. (perhaps the next time:-)Moderate cost good food and excellent drink make this a very pleasant relaxed place to nibble away to your hearts content while watching the holidayers in the street.

"You don't need to pay if you don't like it". So he told me about the Banana-grilled Fish. I don't like bananas like that. Period. My wife did, so we ordered. It was the culinary highlight of our time in Imbassai.Ps. I did not eat the bananas!

A Great Restaurant every time we have been there. The rua Principal in Imbassai has a number of excellent restaurants of which this is the one we most frequently patronize. Don't be deterred by its casual cafe close to the traffic location. This is beach town and that is the way it is. We have not ever been disappointed. After returning to Imbassai after a long 7 month absence that is where we head. Josefa the owner helped us with the menu choices on the night and her recommendation hit the mark.A gorgeous filet of beef with salad and french fries, a robust Chilean red wine, followed by a spectacular dessert , just perfect, as always.

This restaurant is the best value we have experienced in Imbassai, as of this date. The fact that it is a favorite of the local folks is a strong recommendation that the service and food are consistently good and the value exceptional. The traditional fish stew (moquecas) is their strong suit but other dishes are also good. Try it for lunch and you will find a wide cross section of local people and tourists often eating at communal tables. We have never had a long wait for the food and the servers including Dona Vania are pleasant and attentive. You will find more posh restaurants in the village but you wont find better food.

Brazil has great Italian food and if you are trying to run away from local food in Bahia Nega Fulo is a great choice. Great mood and décor. Very nice service and the food is especially good. Go for the risotto but the filet mignon is also very good. Be careful because in Brazil ârare meaât is usually âmedium rareâ.

This is an excellent venue to have a special event. Mariana will assist you in planning the menu for the number of guests. The delicious appetizers were followed by a wonderful buffet lunch of fish with vegetables and a maracujá sauce ,fillet with the option of two sauces , 2 different salads, and rice with broccoli. There was a lovely birthday cake and coffee with liquors to follow. Di Jair the musician for the event played a selection of MPB and international music. It was greatly enjoyed by all. The managers Mariana and Alex are professionals and very attentive to their clients and their guests. You can depend on them to host your special event.Muito obrigada por escolher o Cajueiro'S Bar para esta celebração! Esperamos vê-los em breve
