Reviews on Cafe food in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, United States. Yes, getting there is a bit of a project. But vacationers have been braving the ferry for years, and this tiny island off Cape Cod remains one of the most popular and picturesque destinations in New England. Among the island's towns, you're sure to find the Vineyard that's right for you. With stately Greek revival houses dating back to the whaling era of the early 19th century, Edgartown is a seaside village of boutique shopping and pristine harbor views. For more of a "beach town" feel, Oak Bluffs has the Flying Horses carousel, an arcade and an easy walk to the beach, plus the history and charm of the "gingerbread" houses in the Methodist campgrounds. Vineyard Haven offers visitors a blend of both. For a real retreat, Chilmark/Aquinnah is the place to get away from it all. In the off-season, the island is quieter and far less crowded, but the shore is always beautiful. Whenever you visit, leave your car behind! Cabs are plentiful and greet the incoming ferries to help you reach your destination. Most visitors prefer to explore the island on a bicycle, scooter or tourist-friendly public buses.

Welcome to Katama General Store of Marthaâs Vineyard. We are a foodie destination, market, and community gathering spot. We are located just a short walk from the historic downtown village of Edgartown, on the road to and from the world famous South Beach
You can get a quick bite on your way to South Beach, have lunch on the patio or just stop in for an ice cream or something you forgot.

This is a repeat visit. A very small cafe but with much charm and simply heavenly coffee! When we visited off-season, the owner unlocked the cafe for us and brewed us some coffee. We came back again now during high season and again were not disappointed. Very friendly and quick service. We'll be sure to return.

The Ritz is located on historic Circuit Avenue, in the town of Oak Bluffs. It was established as a bar and cafe in 1944. Today, it is truly an iconic venue; rich with history, legend and lore, 70 years in the making. The Ritz is a combo #livedive and #gas
Wouldn't have gone n here if it hadn't been recommended as the exterior isn't very "obvious" but so glad we did.The food was good hearty pub grub, the cocktails were good and the entertainment was magical. Jonny Hoy and the Bluefish - with some great cameo slots from Rose from behind the bar, Sabrina, who just came in off the street, did a couple of fantastic numbers, then sat down and a couple of others from around. We felt like locals. We were made to feel so welcome and part of things - didn't quite have the confidence to get up and dance but plenty did and a fine time was had.If it's posh nosh and romantic candles you want, it's not for you but I would strongly recommend you give it a try

Who wants to sit inside on a beautiful summer day? Nestled between two buildings and under a creative canopy of canvas you will find the Behind the Bookstore Coffee bar. Yes, it offers creative food â I had a delicious yellowfin tuna salad sandwich â but it was the little bar tucked in the corner and the friendly mixologist that kept us from moving on. Having been to Edgartown countless times I found this cozy, casual bar/restaurant a welcome break from the usual nautical, but dark bars on the island. If youâre looking for a casual place to grab a bite and a beer without pesky wait staff, this is for you.

So we went here based on a recommendation - great location - lovely place. We ordered 2 coffees - not real complicated. The woman at the registered overcharged me b/c I asked for steamed milk in mine - so $18 for 2 coffees?!? I asked her to correct it and she said she couldn't and continued to push pastries on us instead to make up for it - we did not want pastries we wanted our money back! So...she gave us a credit for the next trip. Ok good. So we returned actually the same day for lunch - after finding seat and being surrounded by what seemed to be staff people, we never were waited on. So...flagging down the bartender for the outside bar, she continued to explain some sort of complicated way that we needed to order. See menu, choose item, order...isn't that how it goes???? Not at this joint! I can go on about the very poor service - enjoy the setting her, but keep your expectations low when it comes to the service!

Don't go here - it's small, reasonably priced, good, has character and the ladies who rock the counter are stars. I want a seat so don't clutter up the joint but if you do like the hamish haunts (that's Yiddish for humble/salt of the earth), this is your joint. Don't bring no Vineyard Vines/Menemsha Blues golf shirts in here, kimosabe. This is for locals only - and the local minded.

Amazing Sandwiches and Salads with breakfast served until 4:00pm. Now serving Dinner nightly 5:00pm to 9:00pm
The Waterside Market was a great find for us, located conveniently in Vineyard Haven. We ordered a few cups of hot coffee and the Red White and Green sandwich - a delicious combo of mozzarella, tomato, fresh basil and balsamic vinaigrette. Perfect and recommended.
