Via Mare surpassed what were already high expectations, as the owners'/chefs' other Nantucket restaurant, Ventuno has always been in our top three on the island. The unique coastal-Italian influenced menu is extremely well curated and is full of interesting options made with fresh and varied ingredients. The staff is professional, friendly and eager to please. The Greydon House space provides one of the most idyllic settings in downtown Nantucket, and this restaurant should be on everyone's short-list.
This place is new this season and tucked away in town but don't miss it! Seriously the best pizza on island! The crust is heavenly, and the eggplant pizza is sooo good! Sometimes there are dessert specials-- a peach blackberry crostata was amazing. The gelato (pre-packed) was great too. For take out they don't have a phone but you can order online--although even if you just walk in the pizzas come out very quickly. You can also stay in, but there are only a couple of tables. Open late night too. This was a sorely needed addition to the options in town and it's supposedly going to be open all year--- I hope! This is a spin-off of Ventuno ---which is not open all year, so i hope that information is right. Go, and you'll have to go again!

Service was poor. We have a 5 yo with allergies and they did not want us there. The bisque was very salty, the beet salad very bland, and the swordfish as a special very meaty and without much taste. The place has nice character, but the service and food are 2 things weâll want to soon forget.

Pi Pizzeria serves authentic wood-fired Neapolitan pizza and delicious Italian American cuisine. We prepare the food using the time-honored methods of traditional Italian cooking. Our dough is made fresh each morning, the sauce is made from scratch using
Granted we went out on a Friday night but the space was jammed and tables were so close together that you couldnât hear the conversation at your own table or the folks next to you. However the pizza was hot, fresh and tasty and reasonably priced. I understand that the half baked pizzas to go (that you finish at home) is the way to enjoy a Pi Pizza. Next time, thatâs the way to go. Thanks so much for taking the time to write your review, itâs true that we are very busy during popular dining times on Friday evenings. We still think the best way to enjoy Pi Pizzeria is fresh out of the wood burning brick oven, although the parbaked take home method is another great option as well. Please visit us on weeknights at slightly off peak hours, try our other menu items as well, youâll be sure find them equally hot, fresh and tasty as well as at reasonable prices.

You know you're in a great restaurant when you have trouble deciding what to order because everything sounds delicious. As a discerning 100% Italian woman, Fusaro's exceeded my expectations. The pappardelle Bolognese was outstanding and so was the seasoned haddock with asparagus risotto. The waitstaff was excellent, always keeping our waters glasses filled. We wanted to return the next day to try other menu items but it's closed on Sundays in the off season.

My husband and I ate here for the first time recently. We were shown to an attractive table, were given water, bread, oil, and glasses ready for the bottle of wine we ordered. Then my husband (with his easily aching back) began to feel that the chair was not going to be comfortable for him throughout the meal. There was an empty table nearby which offered a chair and a seat on the banquette. We consulted our server, and we were immediately moved to the new seats. No fuss, no problem. We appreciated the accommodation. Our meals were lovely: we each had a pasta dish (I got the spaghetti carbonara - perfect) and both found the pasta cooked perfectly, with a bit of bite, not soggy/squishy as too often happens. The wine was lovely, the bread delicious, the room so attractive. We will return.
