Find out what Seafood restaurants to try in Lynn. Lynn is the 9th largest municipality in Massachusetts and the largest city in Essex County. Situated on the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 10 miles (16 km) north of downtown Boston, Lynn is part of Greater Boston's urban inner core. An early colonial settlement and industrial center, Lynn was long colloquially referred to as the "City of Sin," owing to its historical reputation for crime and vice. Today, however, the city is known for its contemporary public art, large international population, historic architecture, downtown cultural district, loft-style apartments, and public parks and open spaces, which include the oceanfront Lynn Shore Reservation; the 2,200-acre, Frederick Law Olmsted-designed Lynn Woods Reservation; and the High Rock Tower Reservation. The city also is home to the southernmost portion of the Essex Coastal Scenic Byway, Lynn Heritage State Park, and the National Register-listed Diamond Historic District.
Things to do in Lynn
Excellent choices for everyone. As a vegetarian I found several good choices. Everything is fresh and cooked to order. Fun atmosphere. Drinks were good. We went here with friends and were told they will be doing breakfast on the weekends. Looking forward to going for breakfast. Location is a block from the beach and off street parking is across the street.
Where to eat American food in Lynn: The Best Restaurants and Bars
I don't know, I always expect more here...the look and cleanliness are top notch, but aside from that it's not that appealing. Prices are a bit higher than most other subshops like this in the area. Having been here several times though, trying to find out what I'm missing, I'm always left wanting more...as in portions and a friendlier staff. I'Ve even asked for extra this and extra that and nothing....anyway, I hope it changes because it is convenient for me and like I said the atmosphere is appealing.

This is a small place so I usually do delivery. Clam chowder is out of this world. Seafood is kind of pricey but it is very good.

We have eaten many times from George's. Their pizza, salads and pasta are delicious. Their portions are more than generous and prices reasonable. My favorite is their chicken kabob salad. The chicken is extraordinary as the marinate it properly. My fiancé says their roast beef melts in your mouth and is pink not raw. Highly recommend.

The seafood was excellent and the service was just as good. The ladies who were tending bar were kind and personable. Best food in Salem.

It was very busy the day we arrived with a 45 minutes, There were two lists, one for inside dining, one for outside. We didn't know that. Things were disorganized. We went to the bar for a drink and needed an ID. Be prepared for this. Our name was called for outside dining first and we had to agree that it was ok to be seated in direct sun. The deck was pleasant but there was a terrible septic smell, We asked to be moved it was so bad. The manager told us we would have to go back on the list. He was not helpful. It was a little stressful. We did get an inside table just as we were leaving. The food was good and the waitress was pleasant but some of our order was forgotten. Not a fan!

I was in the area visiting my daughters with my sister and we decided to stop here for lunch. It turned out to be a lovely afternoon. The restaurant wasn't crowded at that time and the weather was beautiful, so we had an amazing view as we took our time, talking and eating. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. Our server was wonderful too. I'd definitely go back when I'm in the area again.Thank you, Elise! We look forward to your next visit. Cheers!
