Lots of renovations done- front windows open right to the front sidewalk. Nice fish mural on the west side of the building. Parking lot gets filled fast. Lossy bloody marys.

I sat at the table for an 1.5 hrs waiting for my pizza. They kept saying it was coming. Everyone else at the table got their food and were done by the time I got mine. It was pizza for crying out loud, not a four course meal. As it turned out, the order was never placed. I should have left then. But the pizza finally arrived when everyone was ready to leave. I ate a few slices pizza and we left. I had heart burn all night. This only happens when you use cheap ingredients. Definitely won't go back!!!

We are staying in the area for a few months and tried this place at the recommendation of friends. The restaurant shares space with a motel so parking is abundant. We were greeted and seated immediately. We were seated beneath an air conditioning vent and were cold throughout our visit. Our server introduced himself promptly and professionally. He discussed the nuances of the menu for us newbies. Our food was brought out not long after we ordered. The food was not hot. At best it was tepid and the presentation was uninspired. The restaurant was not busy but our server didn't check back with us until we were completely finished eating. *Rant warning* What ever happened to servers checking shortly after delivery of the meal to make sure everything is correct? Seems fewer and fewer servers do this anymore. When I go into an eating establishment, by default I will leave a 20% tip on the pretax portion of the tab. All the wait staff has to do is not disappoint. Beginning with this experience and from now on, if the server does not check back shortly after food delivery, it's a 5% deduction. Josh, that explanation is for you. *End of rant*All in all, this first experience at this facility left us both certain we won't be back. We're so sorry to hear about your disappointing experience at this location. Would you mind reaching out through our contact us page with your Name, phone number and email address so we may personally follow up with you? We'd appreciate the opportunity to make this right, as well as get some more details about your visit so that we can utilize your feedback to improve our restaurants. Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience & we look forward to hearing from you.

We ate here with some friends and so got to sample a few menu items. The Portuguese burger (special) was awesome: burger with linguica and fried egg...very tasty to dip the burger into the yolk, and the burger itself was well-seasoned. Regular and sweet potato fries were very good, as was the eggplant appetizer, cole slaw, and the short ribs. Chicken parm sandwich also a winner. Will definitely eat here again, and try more regular menu items as well as the daily specials.

The Inn is the oldest seaside inn in the nation, still operating as an inn, in its original structure. A short walk to beaches, sailing, fishing, and golf, The Inn is located in the heart of Mattapoisett Village, across from the Town Wharf. Boasting small
Best calamari I have had in my life! On the other hand, the oysters, which came from VA, were small and tasteless. Definitely do not order them until the local oysters are back in. Scallops were good and tuna was fair.

Nothing fancy but good food and lots of it! Service was good. Not particularly roomy around the tables but adequate. Large menu with something for everyone, including Portuguese dishes. Comfort food mainly. I had some truffle fries for an appetizer which were very good. My Portuguese haddock was very nice, slightly spicy and good sized helping with a side of pickled beets. My wife salmon was a bit cold however it was tasty. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. Seven of us had appetizers to share and one drink each and a main course for $38 including tax and tip. I would not hesitate to return as the vibe was good - friendly local restaurant. Family friendly. We arrived on a Saturday night around 5 and it was packed! Just a word of warning, and that was in October!

We recently tried this restaurant on a Saturday night. Got there at around 6 or 7 pm and were told there was a 60 minute wait. We lucked out and scored seats at the bar! Ordered drinks first while we looked over the menu. I had my usual Cosmo. Very good and served with the rocks on the side. I was happy. We ordered our meals....I had the Crispy Haddock Tacos and he had the Venison and Bison Meatloaf. We both loved our meals! We were pleased that we did not wait an hour.....and were very happy with the drinks and food, so this place will definitely be on our restaurant rotation!!
