This restaurant is part of the Nantucket Inn, located at 1 Miller's Ln, across the street from the airport. I live here, so I have not need to take advantage of the hotel room itself. I came a few weeks as a guest of friends. Our local radio station has ads plugging the restaurant, so it was in my mind. When my son and his girl were here, I thought it would be a nice treat to have their Sunday brunch. "Mom's Kitchen" is upstairs in the hotel. The ambiance is very airy, with some outdoor seating as season permits. All the food I tried, either today, and a few weeks ago was excellent. There may be some variety at some times, but they have everything you would want for breakfast, fresh made waffles, scrambled eggs, Eggs Benedict (today, I can't remember if they had it last time), breakfast fried potatoes, sausage, bacon, and on the healthier side, plenty of fresh fruit, cereal, croissants, so they please those looking for the "heart attack" Irish style breakfast, as well as a much healthier version. Everything was very fresh. Now to the service. Everyone was welcoming and cheerful. Sharon our waitress, was very cheerful as well, made sure we were happy with our food, refilled our coffee cups without our having to call out and ask. She was always around, but never obtrusive, not hovering, a true professional. I would highly recommend this restaurant based on my 2 recent experiences, and the quality of food. For the price, on Nantucket, the value was good, well worth the reasonable cost.

We were excited to try this new spot this summer.... too bad we waited until August! We had the âtoastâ for breakfast.... tons of avocado with fresh basil and radishes! And tonight we went to dinner as a family.... shrimp burger was full of real shrimp....chips the accompanied it were delicious.... Salad was full of varied veggies (one w/ pickled veggies)... dressing was ok.... and kids âbeet boxâ dinner was exactly the things my 3 year old loves... she chose grilled chicken, rice, green beans, and banana...slightly expensive for a kids meal, but contained all the foods she loves. Overall, a slightly expensive.... but the freshness, friendliness, and convenience shines! Thanks for a great meal and a fantastic addition to the island.Thank you for joining us. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience. We appreciate your comments on pricing and will take these notes under consideration. As a new business this season, we thrive on all feedback!

Locals will tell you this is a must-do experience on Nantucket, especially if you are celebrating a special occasion. From the moment I entered the charming courtyard garden, I was hooked. Once the domain of a traditional French chef, the one-page menu now features creative tastes that put local seafood front and center. Meat eaters will love the filet mignon and kids will enjoy the burger, but I got my seafood fix with codfish beignets and organic salmon over cauliflower risotto. Extensive wine list includes a few brilliant selections by the glass. Eating in the garden offers the added bonus of people watching as Nantucket regulars arrive in their island finery and pose for pictures. Attentive but not pushy service. Yes, it is a splurge but worth it for the quality.

If you love Salt and Noise, this is your place. Why do chefs insist on loading salt onto seafood? Hello, most fish live in salt water; they are supremely salty already. Likewise, vegetables here are routinely smothered in salt and nearly inedible. As to decibels, there's not much the owners can do, as the place has perhaps 10 tables and a similar number of barstools facing the grill. Thus, personal conversations ae impossible at the closely-spaced tables. Note: this is a cash-only, BYOB place with a corkage fee of ~$4. Dinner reservations are taken for 6pm only; otherwise get in line.

Just an excellent experience from start to finish. Front of house was professional and charming, the reservation staff on the phone were pleasant and helpful. The house cocktails are a real treat - watching the staff light up as they explain the intricate way that the vodka is infused with local strawberries over six weeks was memorable. The ocotpus starter is very fresh and was a real treat. Overall, a super time - would thoroughly recommend.
