Grecian Diner Restaurant Peabody MA: Visit Grecian Diner located at 136 Newbury Street Peabody MA 01960 for Greek and diner favorites for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Went to the Grecian Diner on Saturday night for the first time. Found the place to be bright and clean, but not too crowded, with Greek music playing in the background. Ordered pastichio and my wife ordered Moussaka. Both were excellent and came with an authentic small greek salad (cucumbers, tomatoes, feta cheese, onions, peppers). We also ordered the saganaki appetizer and thought it was one of the best we've had. Our waiter brought over a sampler of two spreads for us to try on the rolls, which were excellent. Dessert was a Greek walnut cake, which we hadn't ordered but which the waiter insisted we try (without cost).Overall, we had a wonderful experience, enjoyed the food and the personal service. One of the few places in the area with authentic Greek food. Being Greek-American, I can be fussy with Greek food served at a restaurant but thoroughly enjoyed this place. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Can't wait to go back.

This place has recently changed owners, and is now Luigi's. Excellent breakfast. Freshly cooked food, not reheated eggs and bacon that was all cooked first thing in the morning like other places. Came here for breakfast, and returned for lunch and ice cream on the same day.Friendly servers, casual setting. Ice cream area will be closed soon for remodeling. It obviously has regular customers and it's for a good reason. I wish I had a place like this in my neighborhood back home.

Depot Diner has got it goinâ on! Very good breakfast at a reasonable price. Service was quick and staff was super attentive on our Sunday morning visit, despite being quite busy. They seem very organized and customer service oriented. For example, you can put your name on the waiting list via their website. They had a 30 minute wait the morning we went, but we signed in online before leaving the house and our table was ready within about 5 minutes of arrival (they send you a text when your table is ready). Nice! This diner is clean, staff is friendly, and the food was super good. We loved the Nutella waffles and the corned beef hash omelette. Will definitely go back.

Neat little diner...a throw back (waaayyy back) to the way it was! Tiny..maybe seats 6 tables and 10 or so at the counter...but the food is what your here for. Definitely a "neighborhood staple" !! On a main route into town, so LOTS of traffic and small off street parking behind...so be prepared to park on the street or wedge yourself in the back. Prompt and cheerful service....food was ready in minutes and it was delicious !! Try it folks...you'll like it!

The Ugly Mug Diner our a modern take on classic American diner fare. Everything is made from scratch, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and always served with love. In addition to our extensive food menu, we also have a huge variety of mimosas, a
Upon arriving, we were yelled at for bringing in outside coffees and told we had to leave the outside. I have never heard of such a thing and it wasnât like we werenât going to be buying beverages and food in there. The woman was just not nice about it. She was rude all around. I get it itâs October. I visit Salem often and year round and it wasnât even that busy. She was rude to everyone sitting at the counter and just kept saying âweâre busy.â Girl, if you canât handle a busy diner in October, waitressing in Salem is not for you. Everyone there was just not personable. Thankfully the pancakes PUMPKIN were delicious. Unfortunately I will not return. So many places to eat in Salem with happy hosts! Sorry to hear you had a less than stellar experience with our staff, Jamie! I will say that the prohibition of any outside food or beverages is a legal stipulation of our beer and wine license issued by the city, it's just not some arbitrary policy we have at the restaurant with the hopes of stuffing a few more bucks into our pocket. I honestly don't even think I would care that much if people could bring their own beverages in, I would just feel bad if they're missing out on the awesome drinks we offer. So I am sorry if someone on our staff seemed short with you, but she was just looking our for the restaurants best interests and as you said, it is October, and I'm sure it was busy - everyone wants to walk around town with a warm cider or pumpkin coffee this time of year, ya know? I'm definitely not saying you were rude to her, either, I did not see the interaction. However, I will say that we have the most wonderfully introverted group of servers I've ever worked alongside during my sixteen years in the restaurant industry and If one of them ever "yelled at" anyone, I would pay good money to see it. Anyway, I'm glad to hear you at least enjoyed the food, we make everything with love. I DO hope you decide to change your mind and give us another chance in the future, however! We would love to win you over!

This coffee shop/diner was the best! It had great food, great prices and great service from great servers. The food was home made and delicious. Large portions and this place is very popular with the locals. We ate breakfast there twice in the three days that we were in town. Highly recommend.
