My husband and I were eager to find an alternative to China town in stoughton and to gourmet garden in canton. Chinatown takes its customers for granted and Gourmet Garden has very mediocre service though i often order take out sushi. We decided to try Mai Place as we had heard good things from neighbors about it.Food was good, atmosphere clean and pleasant. They had a sushi bar which looked promising. Our server was pleasant enough but slightly clueless when I asked questions. She also had some difficulty understanding us and vice versa. But food arrived and was v good. I look forward to trying more of their dishes. We both had pad Thai and it was good.. serving size was big.. and we were able to take some home. It was even tastier at home reheated. I would definitely go back again.

We've eaten there twice -- the second time owing to a "well, let's give it one more try" attitude, sorely misplaced. Fried rice dry as raw pintos, diced. Egg dishes mediocre or worse. Extra portions infinitesimal, "extra spicy" -- not! Lo mein stroppy, miscooked, inedible. "This is #$% garbage," my kind-hearted better half just said. Nice people too, but food not their forte. Two visits and $80+ later....AVOID.

I have been eating at Aliceâs for many years. There are so many regulars dining there and Alice knows them all by first name. The menu offers much more than the typical Chinese fare. Vegan, vegetarian,gluten free are welcomed with many choices. Service is great. Take out is popular. Youâll become a regular.

Used to be one of our go to restaurants in the area. Quality and service have deteriorated. Waitress was almost comotose, could hardly be bothered. Appetizers were ok, but main course was a mess. Chewy, unedible mushrooms and globs of tasteless chicken.Completely understand why the dining room was practically empty. They don't seem to care about service or quality anymore.

So for the last 3 years i have been observing this restaurant. The building kind of sits by itself, the parking lot is ALWAYS empty, there are very few windows and at night the lights are extremely dim. My girlfriend and i have had a running joke that this place is a front for the mob. Like a car crash that you cant turn your eyes from i just had to eat here.We walk in the door and the first thing i notice is the place is completely empty and i dont see anyone working. Finaly a women comes and greets us and seats us and she seems almost shocked to have customers. We order our food (2 combination plates) and then wait almost a hour for a food. During that hour not 1 other customer came in nor did the phone ring. Our food was served and the fried rice was not brown but black and it tasted as bad as it looked. We also had some pathetic looking crab rangoons and bbq ribs that looked like they have been sitting out for a long time. All of a sudeen my fiance starts laughing hysterically and she says to me "babe your not going to believe this". She had ordered orange beef and she gives me a bite and it is a meatball coated in orange sauce. Let me repeat this they served us a meatball. I cant prove it but i bet the reason why we waited an hour is because they sent someone to run to the grocery store to pick up some hamburger meat when we placed our order. In closing i still think this place may be a front for the mob and if you are reading this i highly reccomend eating here. Somethings just need to be experienced.

We order from them regularly. The egg foo yong with Shrimp has veggies in it. Beef Teriyaki,crab rangoon and veggie lo mein is delicious. but they never tell you about the discount coupon or apply it. You must remind them. I may change restaurants and go to the new one in canton.

This was a go to restaurant for The Human Vern, family and friends for as long as the restaurant opened in Stoughton. We even went to the Brockton location. Always great food and service and fast!The atmosphere was always welcoming and the staff friendly. Sometimes, they would walk up to the table and remember what we had ordered and ask if we wanted it again. What a great feeling!But on a recent visit, we noticed a change. Big red signs with instructions where to stand, where to wait and when you will be seated. Plastered to the hostess stand and hanging from the ceiling was the message that our friendly experience was not going to be the same. No asking if we wanted our usual. No wonton chips with mustard and sweet and sour sauce. No refills on our water. We finally asked our waiter for the chips and sauces and when he was bringing them to our table, the manager stopped him and said â do not bring this to them unless they asked for itâYikes!We were regulars. Iâm not sure when we will be back again.
