Went here as a group of family for dinner. I used to live in Japan and can be a bit of a food snob with Japanese food but was very happily surprised to have such a delicious Japanese meal on the east coast! We ordered a ton of dishes and shared everything. We loved the fluke starter with yuzu sauce, kinutemaki, nasu dengaku, tempura, gyoza, and maki. The agedashi tofu was good, but a little more firm tofu than I prefer. I preferred ogaâs cold appetizers and maki rolls to the nigiri but everything was good. Definitely a place where sharing style eating works well!

We are so thrilled to have this restaurant in our neighborhood. We eat there at least once per week. The people who operate this restaurant are wonderful. The food is very, very good as is the service. Full bar, great sushi, great hibachi (although it is cooked in the kitchen, not at your table. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Been here many years ago and decided to go back there yesterday. Had the Australian lamb which was expensive but of excellent quality. There is no need to order appetizers as the portions are generous. Nice atmosphere and the cooks provide great entertainment.

Minado provides an amazing variety of sushi, seafood and shellfish in its buffet restaurant. They have dozens of kinds of sushi rolls, sashimi, yakitori of all kinds (shrimp, squid, teriyaki chicken) as well as roasted and deep fried whole fish like pollock or haddock, a whole Chilean sea bass and an entire array of salads with seaweed, eggplant, asparagus, lettuce and kimchi and mixed salads of all kinds. They also have and entire dumpling area with shrimp, crab, and pork dumplings and a while shellfish area with crab, clams, mussels, shrimp and many other types of cold and warm shellfish dishes. The dessert bar is also pretty good with fruit and jello options and a soft serve ice cream machine with vanilla and chocolate ice cream. If you can't find something you like, you just don't like seafood!Pricing is fixed price all-you-can-eat with lunch at $17.95 Monday-Friday and $21.95 on Sat.-Sun. and holidays.Dinner is $31.95 on Mon.-Fri. and $33.95 on Sat.-Sun. and holidays.Kids are priced by height--half price for 5ft and over, quarter priced for 4 feet or shorter and free for 3 feet and under!Well worth it--everything is very fresh and the place is very clean with friendly and helpful service.Be prepared to arrive early as it gets very crowded at the buffet sometimes.Plan to be there at the opening at 11:45 or noon for lunch and 6PM for dinner service on Mon.-Fri. And by 5PM on Sat.-Sun.They serve lunch until 2:15PM Mon-Fri. and 3PM other days and dinner until 9:15PM Mon.-Thurs. and until 9:30PM on Fri.-Sat. And 9PM on Sunday. Have gone twice in two weeks for dinner... have ordered ramen and sushi dinner. Sushi was basic maki rolls that were ok, somewhat thin. Good quality ingredients but ordinary results. Waiter brought us a grilled squid appetizer without requested teriyaki and then made a mess of the redo. Not auspicious.

We had 3 apps and ramen/noodles for lunch. Menu is varied - with many different ramen bowls to choose from (can add extra anything), Vietnamese and Thai noodles as well. (Donât expect any pho). Cozy place, fast and attentive service given only one server. The food was Delicious!! It blows me away given some of the high end ramen places Iâve been to (in NYC and LA). Come hungry because there is lots of food in the noodle bowls. The chashu is silken and melts in your mouth! lots of ramen noodles - donât ask for extra. Our first time here but we will definitely be back! And extra special kudos to them for their restroom sign. (Sorry no photos of food - it was so delicious that we didnât stop to take pics first!)
