I have been coming to Dalat for dinner about six times a year for the past seven years to celebrate one event or another. Every time we've dined here, the service is terrific, friendly and prompt. The sushi and other treats we order are delicious every time. There's always a comfortable ambiance even when the restaurant is full. It's easy to hold a conversation and never feels too crowded. Try it in 2018 and you'll see what I mean in this review.

Just opened in December 2018 and tried them twice. The restaurant is nicely and comfortably decorated. The first time we visited was for lunch and the second, we thought weâd try it for dinner. For lunch, service was fine. Sat down right away. We ordered pho, the noodles soup. Not bad. Weâve had better. A little lacking in the substance (meat, veggies and noodles) compared to other Vietnamese restaurants with the same menu for the price. Willing to give them another try.Giving them another try for dinner and service was lacking. Had to wait for a table for 2 and we can see tables available. Host said they were short on help so we had to wait. Itâll be a few minutes while they prepare a table. We waited about 20 minutes. Another 10 minutes before waitress took our order. Waitress was not familiar with the menu when we asked what some of the menu itemsâ were since there were no descriptions or definitions of the items available on the menu. But instead of explaining or providing descriptions of the menu items, she kept repeating our order. In frustration and getting hangry, we decided to just place the order and hope for the best. Ordered a couple of appetizers, spring rolls and shrimp on sugar canes. For our entrees, wife ordered beef on crispy noodles and pho with tripe, brisket and eye round beef. One of the appetizers, shrimp on sugar canes came out in a few minutes. Wasnât what we expected. No ârealâ shrimp but shrimp like meatballs shaped out like shrimps butterflied on top of dried heated sugar cane stems. Then our entrees came out another few minutes after. To our surprise, the beef on crispy noodles were again not what we expected. The stir fried beef and veggies were not bad but the noodles were not as crispy as described by its name âcrispy noodlesâ but instead, the rice noodles looked like rice noodles shaped as a pancake shape and hardly slightly pan fried and cut into wedges. The noodles were not âcrispy.â The pho was not hot but slightly warm. In our disappointment, it also took a while to track down our waitress. Then we realized we never received our other appetizer of spring rolls. Finally locating our waitress, we asked for our check and requested to omit the spring rolls since we never received them. Being generous with the âaverageâ rating. We wonât be hurrying back anytime soon.

We ordered take out from Zendo, looking forward to a new sushi restaurant wow was it disappointing. We ordered spicy tuna, spicy salmon, uni, crab Rangoon, chicken fingers, chicken wings, all were terrible. The tuna and salmon sushi were ok. $100 later and weshould have stuck with our go to, Feng Shui.
