I have gone to the Irish Cottage in the past for dinner, but this was my first time going there for breakfast. Let me tell you, it wonât be my last time. The restaurant was clean and very comfortable to dine in. The service was fast and very professional. Our party enjoyed an All American Omelet, All American Breakfast & a Breakfast sandwich. Everyone agreed it was delicious and the portions were huge. If youâre looking for a good breakfast spot in and around the Methuen, check out the Irish Cottage, you wonât be sorry. As an added bonus the Irish Cottage has an all you can eat Breakfast buffet on Sundays. Entertainment is also offered some nights
Friendly, neighborhood bar. Trivia every Thursday night. Specializing in craft beer. 12 Beers on tap, including Guinness.
I am a frequent customer of the gateway pub such a great place to have a peaceful drink. Recently on Mondays a new bartender named jennifer has been working from 1-7 pm she makes wonderful drinks and is very friendly. I would recommend visiting on mondays but also any other day too.

Friendly place, Irish owned. They keep the tap system clean, move a lot of Guinness, and know how to pour it. Food is ok, but come for the Guinness.
On our way to visit relatives in Connecticut, we were looking for a place for lunch along the way. This place came up on the route, and we decided to give it a try. This was a real neighborhood tavern, and since New England Patriots were playing the place was full of football fans eagerly watching the game on the many big screen TVs. Although it was busy, we were quickly greeted by a waitress who took our drink order. They have an extensive food menu and I chose a mushroom/Swiss burger and my wife and her mom had chicken wings. They both agreed that these were among the best wings they had tasted, one batch lemon pepper and the other "Corolina Barbecue". As well my burger was excellent. If not for the GPS we would not have found this excellent place.
