Not sure whether we were more impressed by the wonderful food or Rachel R. our wonderful server. Starting with Rachel--she was attentive and played along with the mood of our table (we were celebrating a birthday) and gave us plenty of time. She saw that one of the diners was having trouble deciding among the various drafts on offer and, without being asked, brought a small tasting flight. This resulted in a number of tasty Fiddlehead IPAs being ordered. From start to finish, she was a star.The party ordered steaks, 2 tenderloins and one hanger and a chicken pot pie (not made at home any more.) The steaks were cooked to perfection and the hangar was especially tender and flavorful even done medium rare. The frites with truffle oil and Parmesan were well seasoned and delightful. The chicken pot pie was as good as home made. A burrata and beet salad served as a side was large enough for all of us to share. Desert, again shared, was a sweet treat deconstructed smores cheese cake.For us, Gibbet Hill is a once in a while dining experience and this visit was made extra special by the quality of the service and the food.

They were short handed and IMO our waiter was not well trained. He was slow to get orders (35 minutes before we got our orders in), didn't know how to serve a bottle of wine (offer a taste to the hostess before pouring for everyone drinking it??) didn't follow up for second drinks without being chased down and asked.The food was very good; three steaks, high quality meat, prepared appropriately; salmon and cod loins declared delicious. Sides of double done potato, fries, asparagus were good.This is a fairly new restaurant, and they seemed to be short handed on a very busy Saturday night. Maybe better service on a not-so busy night. 'Spensive.

We usually do not eat much eat. For our56th anniversary we craved "MEAT" We visited Longhorn knowing we would not be disappointed in food or service.I usualy go there for their strawberry salads& he lovestheirchili.This time we took mgr. Chris'suggestion &ordered Flo's filet. The house chopped salad was great as always; the baked potato :perfect flo's ilet was everything Chis had implied it would be.:PRIMO cut flavorful, juicy & tender. we ordered the 6oz version& had enough room for dessert. The molten lava cake w/ ice cream was plenty for the two of us to share & was terrific.I make it myself at home & no longer have to since LONGHORN does it so well& we can have it there whenever we desire to Michael,our server, took great care of us, adding to the positive experience of dining out for our anniversary
