I was out in Easthampton this morning on business and drove past this fantastic Indian Restaurant. Lunch time came around and I decided to stop in. It was a great choice. I had the vegetable pakoras, some potato Naan and chicken biryani. The food was excellent and the owners were so nice. Great food, great service and nice atmosphere. I look forward to stopping here again when I am in the area. A great find!

We are a fine Indian Cuisine restaurant providing services like : Dine In, Take Outs, Catering, Delivery (to start soon) and Gift Cards
If you want a great meal, especially before heading south on Amtrak's Vermonter to New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, or Washington, DC, then the Bombay Royale is an excellent choice. My wife and I, who now live in southwestern New Hampshire, had planned a day trip on a weekday to Northampton, starting with a good Indian buffet. We found such a place at this restaurant. We arrived a few minutes after it opened (Noon), and a line for the buffet had already formed. There were plenty of meat (such as chicken and goat) and vegetable (such as spinach paneer, string beans, eggplant) dishes. We also took the raita and the two desserts (carrot and kheer). The Indian tomato soup was delicious and not too spicy. We also ordered mango lassis, which were very tasty. The service was good, and the decor satisfactory.Because the food at the restaurant is so much better than standard train fare, rail travelers could get carry out and take it with them to the station, which is only one half mile away.

We ordered a number of dishes to share between the four of us. For starters we had the Vegetarian Platter and the Delhi Papri Chaat it is a liaison of crispy papri wafers, coarse potato and chickpea mash, layered with cool yogurt and Alka's homemade sumptuous chutney dressing. For main course the Chicken Tikka Masala, Aloo Baigan in Tamarind Sauce, a combination of fresh eggplant and potatoes sautéed with cumin, mustard seeds in a tamarind jaggery reduction. We also had the lamb special along with rice, raita and roasted garlic Naan and Naan with honey. To accompany we had Taj Mahal Beers a Sauvignon Blanc Sala India wine. It would be difficult to spick out one of the dishes above the others, however if you do go there please try the Delhi Papri Chaat, it is really sensational.
