Live within walking distance. The sandwiches, salads, soups and dinners to go are excellent. Local deli that serves fresh food at reasonable prices. Owned by Dave & George Saad who are lifelong locals. Chicken salad is renowned and known as Bostons Best by Boston Magazine.

I've been getting the "Italian with tomato, onion, pickle mix for ...can it BE ?.......25 years at this location...it's the bomb. Always fresh, great cold cuts, delicious braided rolls that are hard to find outside of Boston....and service is fast. Consistently fabulous.

Lots of these independent small business takeout restaurants have either good food or good service. Mak's has the rare combination of both! A great place to have a delicious meal (everything is good!) and feel good in supporting a local family-owned business.
