A must when visiting Salem, great for lunch with both inside and outside seating. Menu has something for everyone and prices are really reasonable. Portions are generous and all well prepared and presented.Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and happy to assist with recommendations. Full bar choice with large range of beers and wines. All food and beverages were great, but the wait staff is young and inattentive. TWICE I had to get up and seek out our server who was about 20 feet away sitting and talking with another server at the outside bar. There were a total of three parties outside at the time and two of those weren't even her table! I concur with other reviews about disappointment. It has great potential but management better wake up... there are too many other great choices in downtown Gloucester.

We popped in quite unexpectedly as they were opening just as my daughter got hungry. The big velvet curtains give the impression they are closed, but the keep the cool airless in, just keep going. The cheese appetizer was really delicious. The draft beer options are fun. The turkey sandwich and the Cuban were both delicious. Service was excellent and the manager was friendly.

Staying at the Hawthorne and arrived late. Defaulted to the in house restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. Food was good and atmosphere cozy. It has been a while since we have eaten at 525. We had a terrific meal. We started off with their smaller Caesar Salad. Glad we ordered small. It was a generous salad with fresh greens, crouton and a light-hand on the dressing. Perfect way to start off our meal. My wife ordered their season miso glazed chicken and rice bowl. It was delicious with the glaze imparting a pleasant and unique taste balance with the rice and vegetables. I had their signature soy and root beer marinaded steak tips with mashed potatoes and green beans. The tips were tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were dressed with bacon and the green beans were fresh and prepared al dente. For dessert, we shared the upside down apple pie in a jar. A perfect end to an excellent meal. We definitely had a wonderful return and plan to be back again, soon. For a final note, our server, Aja, was friendly, informative and helpful.Thank you so much! So happy you enjoyed everything and thanks for taking the time to review us, we so appreciate it!

We love Shea's! I love that I can get fantastic gluten free food and not worry about getting sick. I love that the drinks taste like you are getting the appropriate amount of alcohol and not some watered down liquid. I love that the servers are friendly and attentive. Our last visit Jason was our server and he was the best. The calamari was so good. The salmon cooked perfectly. My husband is a snob when eating beef out but he said the steak tips were delicious. We love the atmosphere outside and look forward to coming back again. I do have to say though, and it's the reason I didn't give it 5 stars is your hosts stink! It never use to be this way. We walked in this Friday evening and the host took one look at us and walked AWAY!! Luckily, our friends were already there so we just went off to find them. You need some better hosts!

This always popular restaurant is patronized by people of all ages. Be prepared to wait for a table but the scene is so lively the time passes by very quickly. A word of caution, Wednesday is the very crowded Wing Night and the wait can be more than an hour. Come here weekly with my family or just the wife. Amazing food consistently from the steak to the seafood to the drinks everything is prestine. Wonderful wait staff always the same faces. Feel so welcome every time I come in. Specials are always on point.
