I was in the area, and stopped for a quick bite. I tried the meatball sub, which I thought was very good. They toast the bread, which gives it a nice texture. The restaurant was clean.

"Great Taste Since 1941" Whether beef or poultry, every offering (there's a wide array) is a hit. Every one! The prepared food (subs, sandwiches, etc.) is also excellent and the deli offers a solid variety of quality cuts.

Petrone's Deli & Pizza

Let me start off by saying that I've been eating here for over 25 years. I've tried almost everything on the menu from pizza, to subs, salads, pasta dishes, calzones and so much more. They have a huge menu selection, something for everyone and everything is absolutely delicious. Petrone's is a family business and the owner is a super nice guy that loves what he does and has great passion for it. You can tell that with the high quality of the food he serves. The staff are always friendly, polite and they go over and beyond to make sure you're happy, they're all about the customer! I am also a business owner in Melrose and we use Petrone's for all of our catering events and outings, our employees love eating here and can never get enough, their calzones are always a crowd pleasure! Doesn't get any better then this... Great food, Great Atmosphere and Great People!Year after Year Petrone's Deli & Pizza has my vote for... "BEST OF THE BEST"

Had the best Italian sub there the other day--Old school, piled high with freshly sliced Italian meats (Mortadella, Capicola, Salami, etc.) and finished with olive oil, vinegar and herbs and a variety of toppings (hots, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, etc.). Bring an appetite, because you will not be able to eat the whole sub in one sitting--great as leftovers as well!

Wood and Fire was highly recommended by a friend. We stopped in for lunch and were not disappointed. Thin crusted toasty pizza pies with interesting toppings and just the right amount of cheese and sauce. The crispy burnt edges were perfect. Great service. Delicious house chianti. Priced just right.

Giacomo's Melrose

Reviewed By raymondmC6721ME

Our first visit here made us decide we want a second. The food was delicious: shrimp fra diavlo and fruitii de mare fra diavlo with the Giacomo's house sauce--fra diavlo combined with a lobster gravy. MMM-good.Service by Angela was pleasant, efficient, and helpful (she suggested the house made sauce). My wife very much liked the banana caramel cheese cake (not your ordinary cheese cake!): banana mixed in the cheese, fried, with added cinnamon sugar, a scoop of strawberry ice cream, and whipped cream. I wasn't thrilled with it as I didn't discern any one flavor, but did like it somewhat since it was different.Full bar, on-street parking as well as a parking lot to side of the restaurant, wheelchair accessible, major credit cards accepted.

Please change our hours on Fri-Sat to 11am-10.00pm. Also, we do have a full bar. We have easy access for wheelchairs. We have off street parking and a parking lot as well.

When we want nearby Italian this is where we go. The Melrose restaurant scene is hopping. Bobby C’s is a little out of the way between Melrose and Malden, so they don’t usually have the long wait times. We’ve been here countless times, love the food, and the exceptionally friendly service. Sunday Brunch is by far the best in the area. The only criticism is their beer selection. They used to have local Harpoon beer on tap, but a beer distributor must have convinced them to carry the same mediocre beer you can find across the USA, so I get red wine instead.
