The restaurant is very popular with the visitors to Hyannis and gets very popular, meaning that a wait is probable. However, this was worthwhile as the food, particularly the fish and chips, was very enjoyable. Many groups were dining meaning that the noise level was high.Thank you so much for reviewing! We went later on a Sunday night. No reservation needed and sat the bar. Our server was professional and helpful. We enjoyed the turkey bolonaise and the gnocchi. Good size servings and priced accordingly on the cape. There was so much gnocchi that there leftovers for the next day. I would suggest asking for half of the sauce - it was a little much for me. My husband is a huge seafood lover and I am not - we had read reviews and checked out the menu so this place we decided to try. He ordered the seafood stew and moaned with just about every bite. He loved the light broth and the amount of seafood that was in it. Our server wasn't the friendliest but we didn't let bother us too much!

We look forward to having one meal at Embargo every time we come to the Cape. We absolutely love the tapas options and we have a hard time paring our list down to 4 or 5 options. The atmosphere is so perfect too, half hipster, half old-fashioned vibe. Weâve always had great service and we tell everyone we know to stop here!

The service was excellent. The pizza (Italian Sausage with peppers) was very good. The unusual chowder was interesting. Crab Cakes needed more crab, although the accompanying aioli and relish were very good. The signature Seared Scallops with ravioli disappointed, the dish being too salty overall and the rich sauce, we felt, overwhelmed the flavor of the scallops. I would go back only for the pizza, or maybe to try other dishes.

Smaller restaurant, but well worth a visit. We went there twice during our week at the cape. Excellent food. The lobster rolls were great, we also had the salmon and the cod, both delicious and nicely presented. Accessibility very good, the entrance is a ramp and there is a ramp down into the dining area (I use a cane).

The oldest building in Cape Cod. We arrived from Boston at 11:30 right when they opened up, perfect timing. We were thirsty and ready for lunch. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. There were 4 of us, we all ordered Bloody Marys, they were excellent. The food was fantastic and this is lunch, I wished we had time to come back for diner, I quess that will happen if we are in Cape Cod again. Quaint place on the water with very good food. Parking is valet only. Once inside, you are met by a hostess and seated soon after. Recommend having a reservation as they are very busy and very popular. Dress is Cape casual which means virtually anything goes. Better dress seems to help with the staff attention.

Been passing this place for ten years and finally decided to try it. We were not impressed. The menu had a little of everything on it, and we tried a variety of different things. None of them were very good. The interior is dark and dated, and service was very average. There are too many good places around to go here, sorry.Sorry you were not impressed.
