The coffee and egg sandwiches are excellent here, and the prices reasonable. The place is small and cozy, and the service is very friendly. The only negative is that they donât have a restroom on site - that was tough since we just came from the ferry, but our waitress directed us to a public facility down the block. So if you decide to come here for a late breakfast after arriving on the ferry, take care of business beforehand. Recommended!

Visited on a sunny Sunday morning at 10 am for brunch. Saw a line and was expecting a crowded miserable experience but was instead met with a clever text based notifications system (meaning we could wander while we waited) and a 5 minute grace period after being notified (reducing our stress getting back). The diner is cozy with tightly packed tables but the service was friendly and efficient given the volume of business. My kids and wife had the fluffy and warm pancakes which were stuffed with blueberries and chocolate chips. I had an omelet which must have been made with the largest eggs I have seen. It was also generously filled with the desired toppings. Overall, for a downtown brunch spot in a tourist town it wasn't obscenely expensive and was easy to enjoy with good service and great food.

We enjoyed most of our dinner at Red Cat, a lively and casual but pricey restaurant steps from the main streets and festivities in OB. Food was fairly good although salmon had an over-salted crust and scallops were just okay. The service was good albeit a bit pushy, as several wait staff came by two or three times during our meal and hovered over us, asking if we âwere still working on itâ. Once I had to put my hand over my meal to stop the plate from being carried off! Is there a particular reason why diners need to âhurry up and eat?â While we recognise that as a more American style of eating, we feel that, especially in an expensive restaurant such as this, one should be able to relax and eat at leisure, without pressure from the staff.

We serve food to share, small plates, large plates, charcuterie and cheese, including the best Oak Bluffs brunch. Our ambition is to stand out in our community by making nearly 100% of whatâs on your plate from scratch. So please, gather around, share amo
Great bar, cocktails, and small plates. Was really impressed. Best wings I've had on island since Smoke n Bones closed. Bluefish pate great. Whiskey's and cocktails top notch. Great bartender. This is a place for adults and maybe large groups to sit a big high top or at bar. It is a small joint, so best to go in shoulder season. Loved it and wished we hadn't saved it for the end of the season.

Beach Road opened in 2015 in the harbor town Vineyard Haven on the island of Martha's Vineyard. Our interiors were inspired by the historic maritime industry of our neighboring shipyards. We called on regional craftsman and artisans to help us create an i
I like Beach Road for dinner and this review is not a comment on the food or service provided in the dining room. Some friends and I got together for the $1 oysters at happy hour arriving at about 5:30 pm for the deal that runs from 5 - 6 pm. The bar was mostly full as was the bar seating just inside the vestibule. There were some scattered seats and what looked like plenty of standing room behind the bar. The manager would not allow us to order without a seat, and would not allow us to move seats so that the four of us could sit together. In other words, we had to wait. In fact we had to wait until 5:58 before a four-top opened up (interestingly, the previous occupants had pulled up a 5th stool without causing the ire of management). The oysters, by the way were excellent but management's attitude left a lot to be desired. I understand that VH restaurants that have recently won the right to serve alcohol are a little jumpy about messing with the rules, but if you can't have a happy hour the way most people understand it, then don't advertise it as such. Are restaurants limited in the number of seats at their bar under their liquor license? It seems like an experienced restauranteur would know how to handle an influx of a crowd for happy hour. Beach Road clearly does not.Hi Doug,Sorry you were not happy with your happy hour experience. I'm glad you were able to take advantage of the $1 oyster special despite having to wait. We are indeed restricted in the way we serve alcohol compared with other towns on the island, and being seated is a part of those limitations. Clearly it is not worth jeopardizing our ability to serve alcohol in order to accommodate more people for happy hour. We have had to limit the space we use for $1 oysters because it has a negative effect on our primary dining business when it flows over into the dining room as well. Again, our apologies for not being able to seat you immediately upon your arrival. Groups of four can be tough at the bar.

Year-round neighborhood bistro & bar located in Oak Bluffs, serving fresh local cuisine at family affordable prices. There is also a boutique bowling alley with full food and beverage service at the lanes. Private event space upstairs for parties, confere
Trip Advisor rated this place number one on Marthaâs Vineyard where there are dozens of superb restaurants. I thought âBowlâ in the name had something to do with food. Nope. This place is a bowling alley! It has five bowling alleys, a bar and a few tables for diners, but itâs NOT a first class restaurant. Clearly, itâs a place frequented by the Oak Bluffs locals, not a place that attracts Vineyard visitors. We tried it anyway. The service was outstanding. The food was average at best. Donât be fooled by this rating.Sorry to hear you had such false expectations of our business. I have to say, I find it really unfair for you to leave such a poor and highly inaccurate review about our establishment because you made a false assumption based on a word in our business name. We don't disguise anywhere that we have modern bowling lanes as part of our overall entertainment experience. If you read almost any of our online reviews, or visited our website, or even just googled us, you would quickly realize we have bowling lanes (10 of them, not 5). But the reason we are rated so highly on TripAdvisor, Yelp, and elsewhere is because our very separate Bistro and Bar (with over 100 seats) has become one of the most popular year-round restaurants on Martha's Vineyard. And it's not because we are (or perhaps are not) a first class restaurant. It's because we have a diverse menu that offers something for everyone, that is affordably priced - without compromise on quality of product. But hey, I guess you can't please everyone.

I was beyond hungry when we showed up...no waiting around 6:15. We ordered quickly. Hot bread arrived quickly, took the edge off my hunger.I ordered steak tips;very tender, very juicy! Mashed potatoes were real. My fussy husband ordered the garlic crusted cod; he pronounced his entire meal as âtopsâ. Well prepared. We watched the ferries going out and coming in; It is very entertaining to sit in this restaurant and watch the harbor.Pricing was very reasonable.

The Waterside Market was a great find for us, located conveniently in Vineyard Haven. We ordered a few cups of hot coffee and the Red White and Green sandwich - a delicious combo of mozzarella, tomato, fresh basil and balsamic vinaigrette. Perfect and recommended.

We will be closed from February 24-March 11. See you soon!! Open year round, Little House is a cozy Martha's Vineyard cafe and restaurant which uses local produce to create unique, exotic menu items. Healthy and gluten-free options abound with great salad
An abbreviated menu of delicious food, reasonable lunch prices, quaint environment, and very attentive staff. It is refreshing to visit restaurants where the food menu has been so thoughtfully crafted. The lentil salad and lamb burger are two of my favorites. You can't really go wrong here though. I hope Little House Cafe is in Vineyard Haven forever!
