While heading to Wilmington, Vermont, our (very) winding road took us through Erving, Massachusetts. We were hungry, and also getting a little annoyed by the nice lady (voice) of Google Maps. A solution was found. We would stop and eat. We knew the Crooked Tap was highly rated, and we soon found out why. We had some amazing fresh NE clam chowder for starters and really tasty deli sandwich halves. The Crooked Tap also has a nice selection of chips and crunchy faves, as well as some good cookies. Fresh popcorn is the standard complementary bar food, and there was no shortage.Service was prompt, very friendly, and helpful. The owner was our server. He's super friendly and helpful. We were greeted as if we were local friends. That's a winning touch. The omni-gender restroom is very clean and modern. The decor generally is tidy, simple, and inviting. Cleanliness is standard. The sandwiches are priced reasonably at the 7-ish dollar range, and are truly enough for two. The bread is fresh and just delightful. The meats and cheeses are certainly deli-grade and flavorful. I had the turkey and ham sandwich; it was just plain excellent.Your favorite bottled beers are likely in the case, and several good beers are on tap, including Sam Adams.Parking is adjacent and sufficient. Including a round of beer, tip and tax, for a party of two expect to pay around $20-25. I will probably never return to the Crooked Tap, only because of the distances involved. But on the other hand...
Quick service restaurant, we offer dine in, take out and catering. We offer Pizzas, Party Pizzas, Subs, Salads, Dinners, Appetizers, Pasta and catering platters. Family owned and operated for over 10 years by the Kosmidis Family
Ownership nasty to the help.Skimpy with the toppings on subs... oh and skimpy with the meat too. I say Make me the sub I want the way I want them charge me what YOU want. I honestly drive 90 miles for a decent Roast Beef sandwich (See Route 110 Roast Beef Amesbury MA) but I wouldn't cross the street for anything from here.

When going out for breakfast, this is the place to go. Friendly wait staff, good food and quick service always combine to make this a nice experience. The place is small, and you might have to wait for a table when busy, but the wait will be worth it. We go often and have never been disappointed. Greek omelet and eggs Irish are favorites....

Used to be a decent bar and pub grub joint. In the last year it closed for several months because the owner wanted out and could find no buyers. Then it opened under new management for couple of months, they were talking about going more upscale. Then it closed "due to circumstances beyond our control" then it opened again. Now, who knows? Better call ahead, website is down as of this review. May or may not take credit cards, this was an issue at one time. Tough business to be in a small town, lots of people with the same dream trying to make a go of it. I wish them the best I like the place.

We went here for my husbands Birthday breakfast. The omelettes were superbly prepared, the asparagus with cheese was the best I've had.Homemade breads bakery fresh. Our waitress was attentive, efficient and friendly. The decor of color and the artwork adds to the ambiance of this small town restaurant.Very sorry that we missed your very lovely review until just now. We appreciate that you took the time, and weâre glad you enjoyed your experience with us. Happy belated birthday to your husband! Weâre honored that you celebrated with us.Angela is definitely our secret weapon: she loves her work and makes it look easy while she keeps the dining room humming and serene at the same time. Est. 1958, under new ownership since Dec 2018. Serving breakfast all day, and lunch from 11-2pm. Our weekly specials are posted on Facebook. Accepting cash and credit/debit cards.
They do not take credit cards and charge you $3 to use their ATM.Feels greasy. You know that feeling when you walk in to a place for the first time, not the one where you feel at home or welcome, the one where you feel like you walked into the "guys running numbers." The feeling that you should just apologize, and back slowly out the door? Yeah... like that, with eggs.Someone should really clean the coffee pots.We are under new ownership, with different staff, menu and ingredients. We hope you give us another try!
My husband and I went here several times ,we also took his son and we all had more food than what we could eat at one sitting. Food is reasonably priced and the the portions are more than enough to be satisfied.Staff is very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is great too.

Sit down or take out Gourmet and specialty sandwiches, tacos, burritos, Brisket, pulled pork, Waldorf Chicken, Fresh Berry Salad, soups. and fresh organic Smoothies and more. All set in 1930's era Vintage décor.
Just opened 2 weeks ago, I have eaten here 5 times already! Eclectic mix of café food. There own farm raised pork and locally sourced foods. The chef does his own slow smoked process on the Pulled Pork, Brisket and chicken. Real ''original recipe' Coke before they reinvented it and called it the original recipe. This truly is the original recipe from the 1950' era etc. Tacos, Burritos, Waldorf Chicken sandwich, Curried Egg Salad, Berry Salad and more.

The food was exceptional. Fun atmosphere, We HIGHLY recommend The Boiler bar and grill. Plus, the martini was perfect.

Fun place to dine with great food options and baseball/football games on the televisions. The bar is in the middle of the space, with dining tables on both sides. Play Keno or family games like connect-four at your table. Food was burgers ad chicken sandwiches, or fish and salads. Great staff, friendly!
