We have always had good meals at Fathoms. We take a disabled friend there on a regular basis. The handicap accessability is excellent! My husband and our friend love the Fish and Chips with the beer batter. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Served with fries and fresh tasting cole slaw. Last night I had the broiled scallops and scrod caserole. While it was cooked just right I felt it could have used a few more scallops, it was mostly peices of scrod, I also thought the mixed vegetables were nondescript, boring and overcooked. But, over all it is good value for drinks, food, and great service.

We recently discovered Not Your Average Joe's in Dartmouth due to a gift card we received. We enjoyed it so much we went back a couple of weeks later. The pizza was delicious, as was the steak and cheese egg rolls we got as an appetizer. The second time we went I got the sirloin tips which were excellent.Besides the food, we find the staff to be exceptional. The people at the bar, where we sat the first time, are friendly, engaging, efficient, and work together like a well oiled machine. The wait staff and servers on our second visit were very pleasant and engaging. This kind of thing makes the whole experience that much better.We found the food arrived in a reasonable time, given meals are individually prepared, and the waiter checked back often enough to address any issue that might have come up (none did). The food was, as mentioned earlier, excellent and the pricing was reasonable.Hi James, Weâre glad you discovered us. Sounds like you had two very good visits. I hope we always make you this happy. This is a tapas kind of menu with some fancy and pricey dishes. We had a sort of caprese salad with burrata which was tremendous, some French fries which were tasty but not special, and carbonara with mussels which was really amazing. It wasnât any kind of carbonara, technically, but what the hell, it was delicious. And we had two wine flights which were lovely. At the end of the day, go for the ambiance and location, the food is fine for the price.

A small, lovely restaurant - perfect for a meal after spending the day on the waterfront. A casual but inviting atmosphere. The menu is simple and delicious. The service is fantastic. They have terrific pizzas and the seafood dishes are great! Even though the menu doesn't list gluten-free meals, a chat with our server revealed several options that were delicious.We were there on a weekend afternoon and found plenty of parking.

I was reluctant to re-visit The Black Whale after the new owners had taken over. The reviews were not complimentary. I received a gift card to the restaurant, and after a day in Boston decided to stop by for drinks and appetizers. We sat at the bar, as the restaurant even at the early hour of 6PM had a 20 minute wait. Service was attentive, calamari and Thai chicken appetizer we ordered arrived promptly and were delicious. We also noticed the kitchen was efficient--dishes flying out, portions were not diminished and staff was responsive and attentive. I look forward to going back for dinner. Though the menus is slightly modified--more offerings--the restaurant was bustling. My only concern--with the events scheduled at the pier--there was limited parking. Otherwise, our experience was excellent.Good morning Carolyn, Glad you dined with us and you were pleasantly surprised. Overall the reviews have greatly improved as the guests realize this is not the old black whale - itâs something new and elevated. Business has been great. Happy to have you on board. Great place for dinner or just for drinks , lots of options from apps, sandwiches or more. Seafood, steak, pasta and never any issues to substitute your sides. Drinks are great no skimping on those. For those late nights , apps are half price during selected hours. Service in wonderful we are regulars who visit often.

Visited on a Saturday about 6PM. Just beat the crowds. Initially seated upstairs in direct blinding sunlight. Moved.Room is somewhat noisy, but ok.Attentive, pleasant service (although one server had a curious sense of humor).Burger was thick, juicy, not so big. Fries were thin cut, a tad dry, salty.Salad was well received.
